Perhaps not the skin, no, but don't confuse cultural norm/beauty ideal with what most people actually look like.
If you look at what gets promoted as the beauty ideal for females left and right, and how some that aren't near it get treated, I think it's safe to say that the thin look, be it with curves or not, is the thing that's seen as the 'norm' (altho it isn't)
