| i'm no good at making friends. the friends that i do have i met from sheer luck of finding groups and people that have been welcoming. the only advice i can offer that i've learned is to not let opportunities pass you by. talk to anyone you meet with the idea that you could have things in common you don't realize, or could really hit it off. i've found friendships happen when you don't expect it, and i wonder how many people i've met in passing that could i could have been great friends with, but they ended up getting away from lack of effort on my part.
