Whether of course he actually believed any of it, it just used it as a means to an end, I guess we shall never know.
But certainly Hitler was well aware of the Black Sun associations within the SS. And Himmler's quests for occult items, I'm sure were done with Adolf's sanction.
I don't think any of this is as clear cut as you suggest, Victoria. |
Ah, well I'll have to take exception with you in regards to the Thule Society Luc.
It is well documented that Himmler, Hess, Eckart and Rosenberg had ties to it, and Himmler certainly embraced the concept, Wewelsburg being a prime example
However I am not aware of any link between Hitler and the Thule society other than his association with members of it. Was he aware of it, undoubtably, and if any it furthered his political ambitions, I'm sure he used idea's/concepts to his advantage.
The only firm link I can find directly conecting the Nazi party to the Thule society is in 1920, Eckart was instrumential in raising funds to purchase the Thule Societies bankrupt newspaper for the NSDAP.
Edit: And please don't referance Spear of Destiny by Trevor Ravenscroft. Also in a similar vein there is The Occult Reich by J. H. Brennan. DO NOT confuse these books with reliable history
