Hitler was well acquainted with the Occult
Hence his interest in the Spearhead in the Hofberg Library in Vienna, reputed to be the Spear of Destiny, his early membership in the Thule Society.
Whether of course he actually believed any of it, it just used it as a means to an end, I guess we shall never know.
But certainly Hitler was well aware of the Black Sun associations within the SS. And Himmler's quests for occult items, I'm sure were done with Adolf's sanction.
I don't think any of this is as clear cut as you suggest, Victoria.
