| OK *chuckles*, you guys kill me, LOL! I knew I could count on your for a humorous outlook on this.
A few thots:
-- Katt Linden is not a random Linden alt, I believe s/he is the Community Manager, hired very recently (I think an outside hire, but that's just my conjecture) and reporting to Robin.
-- I think Robin listed the volunteers in the Blog simply to thank them for volunteering. They have not been appointed as moderators, lol! Some of you may remember a very bitter thread here, with a counterpart on LL's forums, which contained an allegation that Strife's resmod recruitment efforts were horrific because folks thot he would be filtering the applicants. Qie and I were anxious to avoid that particular tarpit, so passed on all the volunteer names that appeared in threads and on Jira. If the Lindens had decided to go ahead with new Resmods, presumably a vetting/filtering process would have been the first step. They decided NOT to go ahead at that time.
-- Re: Forum Facelift taking forever. Generally, yah, I'd look for progress on the forums on the 12th of never. However, this is the first task that the new Community Manager has been assigned publicly. I don't know how you guys are when you take a new position, but if the VP Marketing tells the customer base that I'm responsible for making something happen ... I tend to want to make it happen pronto.
