Yes, human testes. It's a popular TV series in the UK - they are onto the 3rd series now.
One doctor does live autopsies (the audience is live not the... well, you know
) on human bodies, showing in detail how our bodies work, how disease affects us, how we move, breathe, digest, etc.
As for the colour of the testes, I'd have to go back and watch it again and get back to you. I was sort of wincing quite a bit at it
It's truly fascinating, just don't eat food while watching it (especially the 2nd series about poisoning, where the intestine ruptures)
Hmm, just found this video of it which shows the testes taken out of the scrotum (BIG NSFW warning - and not for people who don't want to see a penis getting cut in half or testes up close, or a vagina taken from outside of a body)
Anyways, the testes connecting veins are larger than I remember, but the testes are also smooth.
