I'm not sure why you raised the point, if Flipper did not say it (nor anyone else did). It isn't a matter of being an idiot - it is a matter of having a different perspective on someone, that is all. You know I am in no way an apologist for Philip - like all of us he has his flaws. I have been very critical of LL and Philip in particular at times. I just don't think the man is all smoke and mirrors.
Good use of halcyon days, btw, I love that phrase.
