Very strange.
Is this the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning, to steal a quote from some movie?
On the one hand, like others said before, Phillip pretty much created
SL, in not technically, in vision ... however, the guys not a businessman.
One thing that's going to make a real difference though ... the Captain of the Ship ... is no longer going to be "One of Us" .... he or she will be a suit.
This is definitely an end to an era of
SL. It'll be a slower change than, what, 1.0 or 1.1, at the beginning of 2004, I forget ... but it'll be bigger than that.
Business forst, geekdom 3rd, 4th, maybe 5th.
