My Dad is still using a Samsung T100 he bought six years ago. SIX YEARS! He's dropped it countless times, and once accidentally drove over it after he left it on the garage floor. It's a bit scratched, but works just as it did on day one.
The T100 was much sought after when it came out because it was the first GSM phone with a TFT screen. It was much sexier than other phones of the time too.
They don't look so unique any more though. Lots of companies copied the look.
I think Samsung are a good, reliable electronics manufacturer in general. Last year, we bought a couple of their digital W/S TVs for the bedroom and kitchen, and even after a lot of use, I can't think of anything bad to say about them. The specs were better than anything else on offer while being very competitively priced.
