Very simple explanation. LL is lowering the tier of it's brand new not
grandfathered full sims....only for large Land Barons obviously, otherwise who is able to buy 40/50 sims at a time.
There is an example....Dream Seeker: after a strong push of 40 sims up and running, last week they were selling them at 16000 linden/week, a week after at 17000, likely thanks to the success. I don't know what is the the real tier of these new sims but IMO it is between 195 and 299 dollars, this allow a STRONG earning even at 16000/17000 price point.
There are little Estates of one or two sims (owned by large Land Barons with a sales agent like interface to hide the real owner) that are selling land at 1.15/1.2 linden/prim, this is a sign of a new business model that will be very common in future.....people has less money so the tier needs to go DOWN, instead of SL will slowly disappear.
All in all, if this trend continue, LL is clearly lowering the tier thanks to the much cheaper hardware they are utilizing to run the simulator.
Too bad i can't buy at these prices directly from Linden Lab......at least for now, but in a year......
