Maybe but when I read it I thought it was just a petty "character assassinating" detail to add that had nothing to do with the story.
She did a good job of coming off insane as it stands but when I read that I felt compelled to point out the lack of journalistic integrity instead of rallying behind the "fuck the crazy bitch" team.
It's like reading an article about a guy who robbed a bank and then the last sentence is "When he was seven he wet the bed."
