If I make stuff for this world, what kind of security do I have that someone can't just mechanically dupe it, relative to SL?

I'm honestly interested in OLG, but I want to make sure that if I pour months of work into a project, someone can't just hack it away from me. :\

Or is this the wrong mindset on my part?
