Are they YOUR piggies, i.e. did you create them? Then it's no problem. If you didn't create it, then somebody may have a problem with you carting off their creations to another world without their permission or your payment.
The creators of
SL are going to face the same issues the music and movie businesses are facing today, and be about as successful in putting a halt to it. Open source is coming whether you want it or not; either you adapt or you innovate or you become a dinosaur, but somehow you've got to take it into account.
This same week a new tool was released called Second Inventory, which allows you to back up the items you created, and your full-perms items, to you local hard drive (search for "second inventory" in SLX).
