I was really happy with this pic. I've been playing with focal length in the viewer, and then I saw a tip that has made things so much bettererer and I really am kicking myself for not thinking of this myself.... so the V2 viewers have a different graphics pipeline and Kirsten's is even mor eon teh bleeding edge and sometimes a new build comes along that's just flaky for my hardware....then another K user had this tip - setting the Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic Filering in the graphics card rather than in teh viewer (and turning these OFF in the viewer).
Well dagnabbit (Argent I blame you for me saying that now) things are so much faster and better and prettier and less crashier I'm doing 1000 D'Ohs. End result is that I started playing with settings, in particular extreme focal length, and how it changes the Depth of Field effect. This pic has no post processing aside from resizing & framing. It used to take me a few filters to get this effect in photoshop, and now I can do it right in the viewer

As always, original (large) size is linked to the actual image.
