I've been in love with this dress for a few days now and I have known I needed to post it but I have been soooooo tired! Well I finally dragged my tired booty to the computer so I could show it to you all. It's from Line and is available in several colors. The dress comes with a sculpted skirt option a well as the good ol' crotch flap option that I am wearing. The sculpted skirt is a bit girly and flirty and the prim is, as you can see, a bit more straight forward sex appeal. My avatar has strange hips and a big booty so I stuck with the prim so I didn't have to adjust the sculpt skirt. :P

I wanted to show a close up of my 1L necklace and earrings set from Lolapop! It's Lola's 32nd birthday and just about everything in her store is only 32L (plus she has tons of items that are normally under 32L anyway.) This set is available at the front of the store for everyone.

My shoes are from Kalnins again! I got them as a review copy (OMG yaaaaaay!) but don't worry, if I didn't love them I could NOT be bribed to show them. I do, however, seriously enjoy these shoes. They have the same easy tinting system and trillion colors options that the shoes from the last post I did about their brand. I really like how this brand does interesting platforms on their shoes quite often as opposed to the traditional shape. Mesh warning: the shoes I'm wearing, from Nardcotix, are mesh. I think it's the first mesh item I've ever shown here, some others will come in my next Vintage Fair entries and I'm planning to share my thoughts about mesh sometime soon. Anyway, in order to see these shoes correctly, you need a mesh enabled viewer like Linden Lab's Viewer 3 or Firestorm Beta Mesh. Vintage Fair #5: Shall We Have Tea?

I love vintage -inspired clothes. So many styles to choose from and often they are very feminine and refined. My latest look really showcases that, with the VINTAGE LADY dress from Shiki. It comes in 4 color variations of the flower print (if I remember correctly) with a chiffon-like gathered top and straight knee length skirt. I feel like I should be meeting the girls for tea in this dress, especially when paired with my huge hat.

You will get noticed a mile away in a hat like the one I’m wearing. It’s the Miss Rose hat from BaObA and comes in several different colors. I thought the bright purple would bring out the lavender in the dress – hopefully it worked! In this shot, you may also notice the skin I’m wearing…it’s the new line from IREN and it’s called Jessy. I am a huge fan of red lips, so this suited me particularly well.

I wanted to do a look with just about everything I'm wearing being mesh and I did it! Woo! I didn't even crash when I took the picture. :O My shorts and top are from Beetlebones. Every mesh release I have seen from Beetlebones has been fantastic. I honestly am wondering why this store isn't insanely popular yet? It's one of those stores that has consistently made excellent products and still gets only minimal coverage. Such a shame!

The shoes I am wearing are at the Vintage Fair and are from Lassitude and Ennui. My friend Acha TPd me to a club a while back and saw me wearing L&E boots and was like yay! I then told her that whenever I do end up wearing shoes (which I really am lazy about :P) it's only ever a few brands and since like 2007 my go to brand has been L&E. I was set against going mesh regularly until L&E started doing mesh releases. Well, I had to give it a go then. I still don't use the mesh viewer all the time, since it won't let me use shadows for pictures, but whenever I see a release from L&E I pop on that mesh viewer faster than you can say "zomg vintage unisex spectator shoes of love."

The skin I am wearing is from Heartsick. It's a nice tone that could cover a lot of ethnic types and is a great change from the pale and tan only that so many stores do. They even do very dark skins which is always a win in my book. The hair is from Alice Project and is (Read more...)

Undies in a League of Their Own

We all know League makes great products so the fact that they made great lingerie for the Vintage Fair isn't surprising; yet somehow I found my jaw dropping at how gorgeous this lingerie is!! There are lots of ways to wear it, bloomers, plain stockings, camisole only, etc., but no matter which layers you put on it's going to look amazing. I thought that the furniture piece from Melu Deco made a great backdrop and seeing as I am pretty much addicted to leopard print I had to use it in the photo. xD

Ploom made some fabulous pin-up style poses for the fair, one of which I am using here. The store is well known for their hair and skins but the poses there are fabulous too, as you can see. I put on some cute little boots from Loordes of London to add a bit of romantic toughness to the look.

Who Hates Writing Titles at Three in the Morning? This Girl!

But I still love blogging no matter what time it is! :D Though, to be honest, I'll probably post this in the after-I-wake-up morning time or night time, which will make my title pointless and confusing, but oh well.
MOVING ON! New things! I was trying on this adorable hat/hair combo from Vaughan's House of Curiosities for the La Venta Eventa weekly sale and was hoping to find something from the vintage fair to go with it. Well guess what? First thing I tried on was this lovely dress from Icing which just so happened to be pretty much the exact shade of navy blue. It's fate I tells ya. The dress and hat and everything is so pretty yet I still get the feeling that a girl in this outfit could kick some behind if it all came down to it. That makes me happy!

Here's a close up so you can see more! If you click the hat you get more colors and there are several hair colors you can get and they come with matching hair bases on the tattoo layer. Yay! The skin I am wearing is from Heartsick at Vintage Fair (which you can see here also) with a lipstick layer from Pididdle.

Just Getting Started!

First Vintage Fair post! I'm super excited about the vintage fair (and not just because my store is in it.) I have been longing for there to be a vintage fair forever so to finally have one with so many wonderful creators has the feeling of relief only a pixel clothes-gasm could give. Cough.

This dress from Connor's is just simple, chic and glamorous without being too formal. Great for a date night. The skirt is in three separate attachments to make movement look more natural. Let's go dancing!

My hair is from Loq. Can't do vintage hair without some rolls, am I right? Lots of colors available, great textures, and the hair sits on two attachment points so it doesn't freakishly poke through your torso. Another win for Loq! My necklace is from Caroline's Jewelry and...yeah...I have a thing for cameos. *Strokes it like a creeper.* STAY AWAY FROM MY CAMEO! IT'S MINE! Oh. Uh. Hi. Ahem. Anyway. The skin is by yours truly at my new brand Adore&Abhor. Mango, Mango! is gone!! Goooonnneeee! I have teamed up with my Canadian all star SLwife, Airedine Poe, and am going to be making skin and makeup for her existing Adore&Abhor brand under the name Adore&Abhor Cosmetics. Wish us luck! :D

Vintage Fair Post #3

The Vintage Fair is officially open! I’ve put together this third look using items from 3 designers. First is most noticeably my hair and dress; which are brand new from Baiastice for the fair. You can get it in the blue I’m wearing or black, brown, and red. I thought blue would be kind of nice to use since the color is very in this season.

My skin and eyes are from Sorry Asia and were included with a second pair of eyes, a shape and brow style for a special Vintage Fair avatar. I don’t typically use shapes my others so I wore my own on this occasion. You may also notice my bangle, which is from one of my go-to brands: je suis… it comes with a matching bangle for the other arm and is scripted to change the color of the center portion to one of 5 colors.

Vintage Fair 2011

Ladies and gents, allow me to introduce you to the first, the fantastical, VINTAGE FAIR 2011! Beginning today, November 11th, and lasting until December 3rd, Vintage Fair is yet another mega-event hosted by Chic Management. With over 200 VENDORS participating, this one-of-a-kind event is one both girls and guys will not want to miss! Offerings range from 1920s to Poodle Skirts to 80s and everything in between.

And just like with all major events, lag will certainly be a challenge, but to make things a bit easier the Vintage Fair team has put together a texture board that, if you rezz it and load the textures before you go, should cut down on it a bit for you. You can get a copy in our group notices. But as always, try to go as “light” as possible with minimal scripts and accessories. You can be as beautiful and bling as you want AFTER you get all your vintage goodies.

To help make things easier for you, we’ve provided pictures from almost every store, showing items exclusive to the fair, as well as some of the free gifts available as well. And we’ve tried to mark anything that may appeal to the fellas with MALE or UNISEX on the pics (but I know I’ve missed a few). Not all the shops were set up, so I’ll be updating as they do (provided I can get into the event!). As well, I will be adding more pictures of the in-store gifties as I have a chance to unpack them. When I started SL four years ago, I had a mission to always dress in vintage wear. I was going through that stage in real life, and sought out everything that said 40′s and 50′s wear to me. Of course I’ve taken a very big detour in that philosophy today, but today there is nothing sexier than wearing a tight pencil skirt with line nylons and sky-high stilettos. The Vintage Fair, opening today at 4PM SLT, delivers all of the sexy vintage styles plus more.Today’s Look features items from the Vintage Fair. The striking and sexy dress from Ingenue took my breath away when I first saw it. It uses a mesh panel instead of the SL standard skirt, which makes for a sleeker and more precise that anyone can wear without editing their shape. Vintage Fair Preview #2

There are so many great items at the Vintage Fair, which officially opens Friday, November 11, 2011 at 4PM. There are all sorts of things there, including the furniture that I used in these pictures which are from {what next}. The chairs are sold in packs of both versions (with patterned pillow and without) in 4 colors, and the other items are sold separately.

I made my way to Vanilla C Designs, where I got this hair as well as the hat and little black dress (including scarf). I feel like this outfit makes Kalia look like quite the seductress…something like a black widow, luring men into her life only to marry them and then have them die mysteriously. I happened to notice that there was a skin from Adore & Abhor which perfectly suited the look with bright red lips.

Visit the Classic sim tomorrow after 4PM to get these items and check out many others – you’ll be amazed at what you’ll find!

Vintage Fair officially opens tomorrow to everyone, but I’m posting a quick look from a few items I already got to pick up. My skin and top are both from essences and my necklace is an exclusive fair item from Natural Beauty. I’m not going for a 100% vintage vibe, but it shows that you can mix and match easily – and everything old is new again. Booths for both stores can be found on the Classic sim, but remember you will only be able to access the sim as of 4pm on November 11, 2011.

Yes, tomorrow is the big day: Vintage Fair 2011 will open the doors to the public !

Vintage Fair (from Nov 11th to Dec 3rd) will showcase 200+ brands each exploring inspiration from the vintage eras of 1920 – 1980. With new and exclusive items from every brand involved and music every day. More information on www.vintagefair.tk. This is a CHIC Management SL event created by Keira Seerose and sponsored by Ivalde, oOo Studio, Alienbear’s, Ingenue, GiZZa Creations, Artilleri, PurpleMoon Creations and Indyra Originals. It will be held over two sims, built by Aya Liotta of ABODE.

Like many other amazing bloggers too, I had the opportunity to take a look at the fair in advance.
200 amazing designers have created new items – who also has a small slope to vintage, will surely find something here.
I will report matters of other new items, but today I’ll start with one of my favorite designers: League.

On the 1st pic I’m wearing the “Full Lace Skirt” and the “Vintage Lace Cardigan” in Slate Blue.

The 2nd pic shows the lingerie-line “Sakura”.

I’m also wearing the “Cuca” hair in Cerise from Vanity Hair and the skin “Dharma” from {.essences.}
