Guess what I did today? Shopping! Just to add a little bit more clutter to that ever growing inventory. I’ve been getting lots of tips though so thanks for those, I’ll get round to doing something soon I’m sure!

This is a new release hair from Lamb at Hair Fari, which you can find located on the Flower sim, and here’s the SLURL. As you’ve probably noticed from my posts, I don’t usually change my hair colour, instead just wearing different shades of brown and I think that comes down to the continuity I kept for my role play character over all those years in SL. However! When I buy Lamb hair, I usually go for the ombre shades as it makes a nice change, but when I was trying this hair demo on and I accidently clicked the Milk colour demo, I decided that I actually really liked it. I umm’d and ahh’d over it the last couple of days because I wasn’t sure if I’d ever wear it, but when I started putting this outfit together this morning, I knew it’d be perfect.

I love this new mesh tank from Toki Doki. It’s out for the new round of Stumblebum and comes in a huge range of colours.  It really is versatile and you could wear it with pretty much anything. I didn’t want to go down the jeans and tank route today but with the textures and detail on the back (which you can’t see here but go try the demo coz it’s cute) it’s so easy to glam up as well.

The final round of Stumblebum Brigade began today with a lot of pretty items as a final farewell to all the event’s fans.  I have extremely enjoyed bringing you coverage of this event for the past seven months; the quality of the pieces in this event is exceptional and very creative.  The event organizers have decided to put their time and efforts into other projects, and you may see a new event popping up from them in the near future.  All Stumblebum rounds have been shaped around a theme word and a color palette; the final round’s theme is Shine which is definitely appropriate for the occasion.  Sale items will remain out through the end of the month.

Hey, loves!  I’m sorry I haven’t been as fast as usual getting event coverage up.  My house was a little crowded yesterday since my family is still without electricity and water.  There were a lot of people here cooling off and getting a shower!  I’ll be spending the next couple of days trying to get everything caught up here.  Love and prayers going out to all those still without power♥

Its that time again, a new round of FaMESHed with some new mesh goodness for your inventory. I was happy to see that ColdLogic, one of my very favorite mesh stores, is one of the stores at FaMESHed this month. The Swift top and shorts are sold separately and available in 4 colors.  I’m wearing the orange sherbert.  You know I must love ColdLogic because I rarely do orange, and even the green looks good (green is that color I never do).  I just wanted to try something other than pink and I’m not sure about yellow. So I chose orange.

Today I decided to show you ALL THE HAIR! Soooo much hair out at the moment I am in a constant state of excitement. It’s a total hairgasm.

These are from Exile. The large picture on the left is Primadonna and is out for faMESHed this month and the two on the right are both out for Fairy Tales 2012 which will run until July 8th.

TRUTH releases this week and as usual they are gorgeous! Top left is sculpted prim hair and the other two are rigged mesh. Bottom left comes with a colour HUD for the band which is nice and handy.

Wasabi Pills also has items out for faMESHed this month which is the large picture on the left and the two smaller pictures on the right are both also out for Fairy Tales 2012.

Last but not least I am as usual late to the party but this hair is from De La and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to go visit. It’s all rigged mesh and it’s all yummy and sexy and rawr. Love it!

The cute tanks are from Paper Doll for Stumblebum this week and, although I’m not wearing it, they come with a mesh attachment for the bottom which is very pretty. Available in 5 different colours so don’t forget to go grab them.

This is such a new and funny concept for a hunt, the idea is to shoot zombies and get a score as high as possible, and also avoid zombie bites, because those will lower your overall score, all you have to do is tp in grab a Body Count HUD and a free gun that comes with it, then at the special events vendors you can buy the hunt prizes with your score point.

From the hunt i bring you one of the shops offering prizes for points, which is Discord Designs the two hairstyles here will be available to trade in for points, so time to start shooting zombies.

Also something else i grabbed this week was another dollarbie from The Plastik, every now and then we get this super cool gift and it´s where i grabbed the tops i´m wearing, in the meanwhile for another event that i have never blogged which is Stumblebum. Everyone have a good weekend and good hunting.

bff vivi && i hit up a few places over the weekend… and we both about *died* over these new mesh hoodies from aura, which are out @ the new round of fameshed. there were so many colors to pick from and each one has an adorable hood complete with long bunny ears attached.. vivienne and i could not say no. she picked a pretty purple shade, while i went with black and lime green, and both are so super cute! looove these!

vivi decided to pair her hoodie with some denim shorts, from mon tissu, and a hair she also picked up at fameshed by wasabi pills. it’s simple and it’s short, but it’s *so* cute. i like the over-the-eye bangs and the short, whispy ends make this style just adorable.. and of course, my bff is just too cute for words to begin with. ❤❤

A new round of the Stumblebum Brigade starts today with thirteen designers on the participating list; however, quite a few seem to be running a bit late!  The items that are out, however, are absolutely fantastic!  On the 1st and 15th of each month, two rounds of designers take turns placing out items designed around a theme and color palettes at 25% off regular prices.  The theme for this round is Gleeful, which kind’a sums up how I feel at the beginning of each new round!  My personal favorites for this round are the super cute mesh necklace from Aura and the fabulous mesh blanket fort from Cheeky Pea.  Sale prices will run through June 14th.

i’m a li’l late when it comes to the skin addiction event, but when i saw there was a new pink fuel skin there.. just waiting for me to grab it.. i *knew* i had to go. and i am in loooooove. ❤ i love these lips, i love the two makeup choices (there’s scene, which i’m wearing here with dark eyes and glossy lips, and classic which has a less dramatic eye but has *perfect* red lips), i just love this face. i’m not sure which skin i like more, this alena skin or the alyx skin mochi milena has been teasing us with, but either way.. i *cannot* wait for the full release of either one! /me foams at the mouth

these balloon poses, for instance, are from glitterati… and oh my god, i about died over these! how cute are they!? the balloon prop is color change and every single pose is just adorableness. what is *not* to love about flying around with a brightly colored balloon in your hand?

the tee, bracelets, mesh shorts, tank top && necklace i’m wearing above are also all stumblebum items.. from rezipsa loc, handverk, e! && dark mouse. the palette this round worked *so* nicely together — every single color reminds me of summery, fruity drinks or icy cold popsicles and, of course, i am such a sucker for that specific shade of bright pink.

colors like this just scream happiness.. it is hard to *not* smile when you surround yourself with such bright, vibrant hues. and balloons, too.. it is definitely hard not to smile when toting around a balloon on your finger. weeeee!

The skin is by Adore & Abhor and is a Culture Shock special release. The Mina hair is available at the Zombiepopcorn Brand for a special price (L$150 for the essentials pack).

Though I wanted a casual look for Moniq, my avatar is not going to leave home without some cool accessories (RL me  almost never does that). So I chose a lovely necklace by Dark Mouse released for this edition of Stumblebum. The stone has five color options, to match almost any outfit. Also, the HandVerk bangles are part of Stumblebum. Four crazy colors to choose from and there’s also a necklace to match them (you can buy them separately or as set).

The poses used in this post are by Status. Miao and Status are holding a 9-9-19 sale at their stores in Amira. This means that 9 items in each store including at least one fatpack, will only cost  19L for nine days. So go check those stores!

i am *not* the girliest girl, not by a long shot, but i can appreciate a dress every now && then. my taste in dresses is usually less.. ruffly and “lady like” and, rather, more… well.. less is more. so i decided to put together two looks for today, built around two short mesh dresses i’ve picked up this last week in world.

the first is from paper doll, which is out for stumblebum this round. it’s skin tight, *just* short enough, and comes in some lovely color choices.. including this fading white-to-pink one i chose to wear here. li’l dresses like this are peee~eerfect for the upcoming warmer months && look just as nice with a pair of high heeled pumps as it would with, say… a pair of wedge sandals and some sunglasses. plus since it’s stumblebum, that means it’s *discounted* (25% off, to be exact!)… which always makes dress shopping that much more enjoyable~

so when bff vivi && i decided we needed to prance around in swimsuits for a few bloggity pics, i knew exactly where to take her!

except, she and i didn’t get photobombed… i kept an eye out for that bird berry mentioned… but i didn’t see it *anywhere*. nothing out of the ordinary popped up in the background of my photos..

spring means getting beach body ready, right? and vivienne && i thought we’d get a li’l practice in, before swimsuit season *officially* gets here. there are some bathing suits out there on the grid already, which ended up being most helpful while we were putting together our summery looks~

mine, for instance, is from stellar — which just released a whole new collection of bathing suits that are more on the *modest* side. i can appreciate that, considering that the vast majority of swimwear out there right now leaves very little to the imagination, and these new tankinis are so cute! plus, just because i’m a li’l more covered up, doesn’t mean i can’t be sexy.. just look at that peek of booty on those shorts! ;D

Cinco de Mayo is special for me for two reasons.  None of which have anything to do with the actual holiday lol, but such is life.  I'm not Mexican, but I know a lot of my family get properly smashed in celebration of our south of the border neighbors.  First of all, my very good friend that drug me into SL and then left without a second though (yep, guilt trip Buggy!) her birthday is today!  The other reason it is significant for me is 3 years ago today, I began blogging after a lot of coercion from Aeris.  I've of course, taken a few breaks here and there where I haven't blogged for a bit but for the most part I've found blogging to be very fun and a constant learning experience.

What I've learned the most about blogging is it isn't always about the photo.  A clean, clear photograph without all the fancy stuffs can be just as powerful but the extra things can be a lot of fun to play with.  Also, I like blogging simply to blog.  I appreciate the views, the people that take the time to read all my nonsense and the lovely comments I get from time to time.  I'd still do it if I didn't have that though, its just fun to me to be creative in this way.  I've met a few fellow bloggers and they inspire me to be better, to do more.  That's a beautiful thing, and I'm happy to be a part of a community like that.

this new coppola sofa from cheeky pea (which is out for stumblebum this round.. but more on that later!) is sooooo cute. as often as bff vivi && i switch bits ‘n’ bobs of furniture out of the other living room, this sitting area in our house has been relatively untouched once we finished decorating it… last summer. but when i saw this couch, and this pretty minty green color it comes in.. along with the coffee table && decorations… i knew our sitting room needed a new place.. to.. well… sit.

plus the animations in said couch are *adorable* (single, couple and friend poses) && it comes with its own set of rezzable props as well, including the laptop you see above (and, i mean, this pose is called blogging… how could i *not* photograph it?!). really nicely made.. and it’s on sale, too!

some other goodies in this round of stumblebum include the ruffly cropped top i’m wearing here in the prettiest shade of lavender, from aura.. which is, quite frankly, summer-in-a-top. it’s mesh and fit me with minimal adjusting… and is both sexy and girly all wrapped into one. ❤❤

It’s once again time for a new round of Stumblebum Brigade, and the designers definitely did not disappoint with the new collection!  On the 1st and 15th of each month, two groups of ten designers each take turns placing out amazing items developed around a theme and a color palette at discount prices.  The theme for this round is Jubilant, and the colors are so fun and perfect for Spring.  The items for Stumblebum have been marked at 10-15% off normal princes since the event started back up in January; however, the decision was made to reduce the prices by 25% off normal prices which is absolutely fantastic for shoppers.  Now you can get even more!  A personal favorite is nearly impossible for this round since I loved all of the items.  The set by Cheeky Pea is going to look great in my living room, and the dress from paper.doll will look perfect with the earrings from je suis.  You just can’t go wrong with any of the choices this time around!  Sale items will be out through mid-May.

being purposely mismatched can be so fun sometimes! \o/

not that there’s anything wrong with wearing different shades of orange && lime green together normally…

ahem.

warmer weather just seems to *need* brighter colors.. the more vivid, the better.. so i dressed to match that sort of feeling with some vibrant hues, but still tried to keep it “springtime appropriate”.

it all started with this mesh jacket from cold logic, which i grabbed because i was drawn to this yummy orange shade. i *always* gravitate towards grayscale, i often find myself picking up items in black or white or gray only… so i’ve been trying to incorporate more *colors* into my virtual wardrobe lately. and it seems to be working, my eyes are drawn to brighter colors.. and this jacket (which actually comes with a tube top that you can wear with the jacket, or separately too! three pieces in one! \o/) came in so many pretty choices that i actually ignored the darker shades~

the soft, sherbet-colored tee underneath is actually a dress from avale that seemed to work just as well as a longer shirt… or, tucked into a pair of mesh jeans like i’m wearing here. i’m guilty of doing this often — wearing mini-dresses as longer shirts — but it’s *such* a good idea (not to toot my own horn, ahaha, it def wasn’t my idea first!). it essentially doubles your wardrobe && i am all about the versatility when it comes to my sl clothin (Read more...)

..i swear i’d be much more productive if i could work with an ocean view!

this set of table && chairs from cheeky pea, which is out for this round of stumblebum (and there’s still a few days left to take advantage of the sale!) was perfect to migrate outside.. absolutely *everything* i’d ever need is included with it. four chairs, should i feel like having some company out on our patio, a pot of tea, cellphone, notebooks, pencils, laptop, potted plant.. even bottles of nail polish, if i feel like givin’ myself a new manicure.. and it’s all on a rezzer so you can have all of it, a li’l of it, or none of the tabletop clutter depending on your preferences! \o/

plus the upholstery on the chairs are texture-change && each seat has a different set of poses inside… which correspond to the items rezzed on the table in front of each seat. so much detail in this set, i’m pretty much in love with it~

it is one of my personal favorite flavor combos, so i decided to do my own take on minty lemon with my look for today..

..which, coincidentally, is also a round-up of items from various sales events going on right now! \o/

stumblebum has a new round of goodies up, all in shades of cool teal, warm yellow && bright peach. the lacey cropped top i’m wearing is part of the set out @ kyoot, my hair and the adorable headband are from truth, and the pose in the picture above is one from the offerings at frooti. stumblebum is one of those events that i always get excited for — some of my absolute favorite brands, with color palettes that have always been so pretty (and work so well together, too!)… what is there to not be excited for?

another such sale that i get super pumped for.. is collabor88. since it’s the beginning of the month, that means a *new* collection is on its way. so i visited the other day, to do one last go-over of the things out now, and realized i bought these r2 pumps in minty-blue and hadn’t yet worn them. the color choices are to die for gorgeous (and i bought these same heels in lavender too, ’cause i liked ‘em that much!) and this light turquoise is so, so pretty. the bow accent on the toes is a nice touch, too.. i am a sucker for li’l details like th (Read more...)

this round of stumblebum is still going on for a few more days && there’s *lots* of awesome goodies to snag on sale. everything is in shades of yellow, orange and red… like this tank top i’m wearing, from dcny, which is actually part of a pack of three for only 95L.

you can *never* have enough tank tops for spring && summer — they are great for something simple, like i’m wearing here with a *new* mesh denim mini from sakide, or for layering with other tanks or tees or jackets (or for wearing on top of bikinis!). and these tanks not only come in gorgeously bright, saturated colors.. but they’re also nicely textured with a li’l something different, like they’re made of a silkier, draped fabric rather than regular ole cotton~

plus, intrigue co has the most *adorable* set of mesh gloves out for stumblebum… in the shape of betta fish. how cute are these?!

the new mesh jeans from mon tissu are amazing and i love them. obligatory keymash from excitement… go!

these jeans are pretty close to perfect. i will say that while i absolutely adore them, they are not completely perfect. they are, however, as close to a perfect pair of mesh jeans that i’ve seen thus far in sl && i am really, really pleased with them. i’ve not been as excited to try a pair of jeans like i was for these in… well.. ever, really.

my only complaint, though, is that they give me a bit of a.. leg gap. it’s not an obvious one, and it’s not even a terribly bad one, but in one of the pictures below.. you can see the gap at the thighs fairly well. i typically do not have a thigh gap, unless i’m in a really strange pose, so to me.. my shape looks different than i would in normal, clothing layer jeans.

with that said… everything else? indeed, pretty damned perfect. i can live with the gap because the cuffs are wonderful, the texture is realistic && the fit is fantastic. the extra small size fit me correctly in all the right places, without me having to adjust a single shape slider.

plus the new sim for mon tissu && celoe is breathtakingly beautiful. just looking around, i was very impressed. if it hadn’t been as packed as it was, i would’ve pose (Read more...)

i am most definitely feelin’ the beachy vibe today. it *may* be jumping the gun, just a li’l bit, to transition so quickly into more.. summer appropriate attire, but. i needed a pick me up today && spending some time on a gorgeous beach, even in the virtual sense, was just what i needed.

the latest collection out @ collabor88 helped me achieve beachy goodness today, too. all the items rolled over to new stuffs the other day && i was greeted with pastel colors && lots of spring-y ‘n’ summer-y offerings. the shorts i’m wearing, out from tres blah were an insta-grab for me… and when paired with some wedge sandals by kyoot && a pretty pretty necklace from aura with its golden gems… i was feeling all beach bum in no time~

this hair, from truth (which is out for this round of stumblebum, so it’s discounted to just *200L* per color-pack!) was the last perfect addition. nothing says spring like wearing a flower in your hair && i loooooooove this long, straight style.

plus, okay.. i know it’s partially covered by my hair, but! this tee i’m wearing, from nestle my bosom is sooooooooo super cute. i love the accented yellow sleeves, but the real reason i *had* to wear this today was the print on the chest. can you tell what it is? li’l :3 face, round dots of blush, wide adorable eyes (Read more...)

mmmnhh.. such a lazy day today~

i didn’t do much of anything all day. slept late, watched TV (catching up on episodes from last season’s rupaul’s drag race… can i just say how *fucking obsessed* i am with this show!? omgaaaah!).. i barely left the comfort of my couch. and it was *nice*, i’ve not had the chance to vegetate this way in a looo~ooong time.

but i did put forth the effort to get dressed out of my PJs. ;p and i figured i should blog today, even if this post is on the cusp of today and tomorrow. i wanted to show off the lazy comfy look i put together for today, at least… but i didn’t feel much like posing and primping for it.

so instead, i moved my lounging from the couch to lounging outside.. from sofa to outdoor swing instead!

it’s baby steps, honey. baby steps.

and apparently, one of my meeroos felt like sneaking into the shot. i totes think she photo bombed me. but she’s cute, so i’ll allow it. everyone say hi to nymph~

it was nice out today, surprisingly. a li’l chilly (hence the hat from red mint && the super cute mesh toe socks from intrigue co, just to keep me warm!), but still sunny. it makes me hopeful that spring is finally on its way. i’ve been trying to think of ways to make our beachy bit o’ land more.. seasonal. add back some greenery, maybe a few extra palm trees, and really make it look.. lush. as it is, it’s pretty much (Read more...)
