I was utterly helpless.
I mean truly. What woman can resist a man in a crisp white dress shirt? Add the tie…the vest…the nice pants and well… you see where I’m going with this.
It certainly didn’t take long till he was leading me up his front steps and down the dimly lit hallway of his cozy little place. A careless trail of apparel and unmentionables littering the old wood flooring as I stumbled out of my ruby heels and into the arms of perfection.
So maybe the rest of the night was a bit of a blur, with countless secrets never to be told. I can say though… that dress shirt made for the perfect escape….and a memorable parting gift.

I was quite honored to be given the opportunity to participate in the newest round of banners on Second Life’s Marketplace
. This round features a couple photos focused around a circus and fair theme! Thank you so much Linden Lab
for giving me such a wonderful opportunity and allowing me to participate in something so fantastic. The Second Life’s Marketplace
is an absolutely wonderful tool that I encourage you all to use often. It’s a great way to find new stores, shop in the convenience of your own “home”, and find treasures you never knew existed.
I know many people often times are curious about how they can be involved in bigger projects like this in the Second Life Community. The best advice I can offer it to be consistent, work hard to stay involved within the community, and add your photographs and blog entries to feeds
, etc… The more active you are through social networking, the more likely you will find these opportunities.… Read the rest
I often times have a really bad habit of forgetting to have fun in a world that is filled with endless opportunities for it. I get caught up in the “work” side of Second Life, and fail to remember that sometimes a little fun and goofing off is needed.
One of my very best friends, Miss Paige Patrucci is entirely the opposite. She is always having fun in Second Life. She’s never afraid to do something silly, and her inventory is filled with an endless array of fun items to goof off with. She’s notorious for wandering around to various sims and causing a comic scene, and she’s someone who does an incredible job of sometimes saying “HARLOW. WE NEED TO GO HAVE FUN.”
That’s what she did the other day when I was no doubt knee deep in Photoshop, or working on some other little project…completely oblivious to the thought of having a silly moment. She pulled me away, threw a goofy hat my way, told me to throw on the silly sock puppets and run around the grid with her.… Read the rest
So… life’s been a little bit stressful lately. I’ve been struggling with some big upcoming changes and uncertainties and I just needed a night out. You know. One of THOSE nights. I called up my two favorite guys on the grid, Mr. Arkansas Sorbet & Mr. Remy Stringfellow and essentially begged for them to take me out. There was some hesitancy due to prior nights out in the past (apparently I have QUITE the drinking record!), but after a little bit of grumbling they agreed.
The night started off GREAT, as they always tend to do. We bar hopped on the grid, joining up with friends for drinks and well…maybe a few shots too. There was dancing, and laughter, and loads of fun, and just when the party was really getting started, the boys became distracted by the pretty blonde bartender. I for one, was NOT going to be shown up on MY night of fun. The redhead in me soon started to show! A few more shots and I was chatting it up with a few of the local handsome patrons. … Read the rest
I have been a badly behaving blogger this week. Horrible really. Every time I’ve gone to do it I’ve either been sidetracked or simply too lazy. (Sometimes you just need a mini vacation eh?) I have a few blog posts in the making though, including one about an incredible grand hall from
, and also my next Pay It Forward
“victim”. Also I will sort through (and struggle to decide) on the top three entries for the silly Golden Peen Contest
. Voting will occur sometime later this weekend as well I believe! The time and effort that has gone into that contest is just awesome! I’ve enjoyed watching everyone laugh over the photos/gifs/blog entries that people have created! Those will be coming up probably this weekend, but today I’m going to tell you about the little hideaway I’ve created for myself.
I think it’s so important in Second Life to have a space to call your own. Something that you have full control over to do as you please with, and a place you can escape to for a moment of solitude or privacy. … Read the rest
Yesterday I went to go and check something on my account on SecondLife.com
when I was stopped in my tracks. I blinked a few times, my jaw fell open, and I had a little moment. A little moment of realization as I realized the girl on the homepage screen was me! Then (after a mild freak out session) I started flipping through to see who else was on there with me.
So many other amazing avatars are up on the home page right now. I am absolutely honored to have made it up there with them. You’ll find Miaa Rebane, Faint Paulse, Prad Prathivi, Strawberry Singh, Sixx Yangtz, Harper Beresford, and Ivoni Miles
as well if you click through the little arrows. Congrats to them for such an accomplishment!
If you remember just recently, the first big change Linden Lab did with the homepage featured the lovely Gogo from Juicybomb.com
. She looked fantastic on the homepage and really set the standard for avatars to come. It will be really neat to see what avatars they feature in the future. … Read the rest
Yesterday I decided to go for a little Sunday stroll through the Pixel Dreams
sim. It’s certainly a good thing I brought my new umbrella (created by LISP
, at the new Collabor88
event this month) because, even though the sun was peeking through the trees and struggling to push the clouds out of the way, you could tell the rain was surely on it’s way.
You know what they say… April showers… bring May flowers.
Oh, and for some reason my little walk, and the threat of rain showers, reminded me of one of my favorite Winnie the Pooh tales. You can watch a little clip from it here

I love the weekends. A chance to unwind, relax, and reflect on the past week. What a busy week it was, filled with all sorts of odds and ends. It was nice to head over to the adorable Felix Cove Cafe, and relax with a cup of hot chocolate, and a good magazine. No one was around, so it was the perfect quiet Saturday afternoon, and a chance to reflect on a lot of the things coming up in my life.
Have you been to the Felix Cove Cafe
before? It’s on the sim that the furniture store DIGS
is on, and it’s quite fantastic. Let me tell you a little about both. DIGS is owned by the incredibly lovely Miss Iris Maskelyne. I absolutely love her furniture. The couch i’m sitting on above is from DIGS
, and I also own another couch, a bed, and a rug from DIGS
. All three are the highest quality, and have an incredible collection of poses to choose from. If you are in the market for new furniture, her items are certainly worth taking a peek at. … Read the rest
One of the best things about Second Life is the ability to go on wacky dates that you wouldn’t normally be able to do in your real life. A good example? How about an Egyptian pyramid maze by bicycle? Snakes, crumbling walkways, alligator infested waters, and much more awaited us on our little adventure. You can find the maze, and a lot of really awesome stuff at the sim Kalepa
Last night, Ark and I had the opportunity to hang out with our friend’s Jett and Kat. It’s always a great time when we get to spend some time with them, and last night was one of those fun carefree nights that always lead to some adventure.
Really, I wanted to keep this post short and sweet today and point out these amazing bikes from What Next
. Jett kindly found them for us, and they really made our evening a lot of fun. The bikes come with some great details, and fun animations. You just wear them, turn your AO off, and voila!
Hope y’all have a great Thursday!… Read the rest
As many of you know, my boyfriend Arkansas Sorbet and I met in Second Life. We are currently super broke, living it up in a nice, but ultra small one bedroom apartment, and trying to get by like most broke college age people, while he finishes up his schooling. He graduates in June. I’m pretty darn excited for him.
Needless to say, because of him finishing up school, and our finances being on such a strict budget, we often times use Second Life as a tool for us to go on dates and spend time together. It sure beats sitting on the couch watching TV or aimlessly staring at each other trying to come up with something creative to do!
Last night, we took some time to wander a few of the sims at the Epoch
event. The place is filled with some absolutely amazing things. The creators cafe, forbidden city, and so much more stand out as some of the best creations Second Life has seen up until this point. I was so impressed. The multiple sims also have a really fantastic selection of fashion items during the event. … Read the rest
One of my absolute favorite things to do in Second Life is themed parties with my friends. One of the most popular themes always comes down to the 80s. What is more fun than throwing on your favorite leg warmers, finding your most ridiculous apparel, and teasing your hair to all heights?
Bright colors, awesome tunes, a fun wardrobe, and great friends made for a fabulous night on the grid! We had all sorts of people come by for our fun party in this highly electric club, but I made sure to snag Devun Seorn, Tyr Rozenblum, and my man Arkansas Sorbet for a quick snapshot before the fun began!
Thanks so much to all of you who stopped by. It was great seeing each and every one of you! Looking forward to the next fun get together!
(I forgot to snag the boys style cards. If you are curious about anything they are wearing ask and I will find out!)

A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.”
Friends are something that come and go throughout our Second Life, but there are always those few that you know will stick around for the long haul. Lyrical Popstar is one of those friends in my life. Today is her 30th birthday (make sure to give her a really hard time about it!), so I thought it’d be fun to do a blog entry and include her in it.
Lyrical and I were definitely not instant friends. In fact, I’m quite certain I thought she hated me, and she thought I hated her in the beginning. Funny how that works huh? We’ve also been through some tough stuff together in Second Life. Looking back though, in retrospect, you realize that it’s the tough stuff, the regretful things we do and say, that often times can make a friendship grow, and transform into one of your closest relationships.
Lyrical and I certainly do not agree on everything. … Read the rest
As many of you know, this past weekend was our third annual Pixel Prom. One of my best friends in Second Life, Miss Paige Patrucci, and I, know these proms all too well. We also know, that showing up with individual style, fabulous taste, and a head turning look isn’t always so easy.
Paige and I were so busy planning, coordinating, and decorating for the big event that we completely forgot to find something to wear for it. The night before prom we had a girly sleepover, hanging out and chatting, enjoying a relaxing night after weeks of planning. We were completely oblivious to the fact that we were so busy with all the planning that we had forgotten ourselves in the process.
Morning hits and I hear a hyper shriek… ”HARLOW! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO WEAR?!”
I bolt upright. My eyes big as I turn to look at Paige. Our hair huge, eyes puffy, and still in our PJs. We panic for a few moments, raiding my closet for old gowns that may work, looking up numbers to dress boutiques on the grid, etc… But really, in times like this there is only one solution. … Read the rest
I woke up this morning and trudged sleepily down the stairs of my humble little home, and stood in the breakfast nook watching the sun come up. I stretched. Yawned. Admired the beautiful view from our new place and it suddenly dawned on me. In the last 48 hours my entire Second Life has changed quite swiftly.
No store. No coffeehouse. No sim. No work. No responsibilities. It’s been over two years since I’ve had this elusive “free time” that I hear people talking about.
My eyes grow to the size of saucers, and I race into the kitchen, sudden excitement, worry, sadness, panic, confusion running across my sleepy face. WHAT WILL I DO WITH ALL THIS FREE TIME?!
I raid the fridge. Because really, when I’m bored/anxious/sad/happy/worried/excited, (any excuse to eat right?), it’s the first thing I turn to. Really what else is better than cookies and milk? Or the jar of pickles in the back of the fridge? … Read the rest
Move In Day! You know, that day that’s mixed with anticipation, excitement, and the dread of having to carry a hundred heavy boxes up a long flight of stairs! Our move in day had arrived, and boy oh boy did we have a lot of work to accomplish.
Ark and I just recently purchased a new home in Second Life. (The home is from What Next & soon enough I will do a post on it in more detail!) It was something we had been considering for a little while. We’ve been trying to be more social, spend time with more friends, enjoy each others company, etc.. and the idea of having a place to do so seemed appealing. Our gracious friends Devun Seorn & Tyr Rozenblum asked us if we’d like to be their neighbors, and soon enough we were packing boxes, and moving across….grid?
Of course, being the gentleman he is, Ark did all the heavy lifting while I… well… became a little bit of a fun distraction. We’ll eventually get all these boxes unpacked right?… Read the rest
If I’m ever on the prowl for someone to dress up all crazy with, I know just who to turn to! One of my longest and closest friends in Second Life, Miss Paige Patrucci is the queen of playing dress up! You will constantly catch her dressing up all crazy with her friends around the grid. There is never, ever a dull moment if Paigey is around!
The other night I maybe had a glass of wine (or three) and found the sudden urge to dress up all crazy like the guys from the music group LMFAO. Maybe I wouldn’t be running around in a tiny speedo anytime soon, but I had no problem busting out the animal print pants and the wild hair. Paige quickly joined in, and the fun ensued. This was the result!
Thanks Paigey for being so lively and fun! You bring an extra dose of joy to it each day! See below to find out what we are wearing!

Rumor has it that I’m pregnant! Ah yes! Carrying a little pixel love child in my little pixel womb. So I figured since I’m so pregnant I better scurry over to Clementine Ishtari’s house and raid her fridge! Boy oh boy did she have some good stuff in there! I got myself a turkey, some Chinese take out, lots of fruit, a cupcake, and even a diet Pepsi! (It should have been diet coke but whatever…) Clemmy came home in the middle of my food raid. She told me smoking was bad for my kid but I told her that’s nonsense! I told her this kid was bad for my tattoos!
Oh the joys of Plurk
fun. My friend Paige Patrucci today thought it would be funny to start up playful rumors about people on Plurk. It was amusing, and a great time. Some of the rumors included me and Arkansas Sorbet breaking up, Clementine Ishtari being a klepto (yay free stuff for all of us!), and Leyton Ferryhill is going to be a back up dancer for Lady Gaga! The last rumor to be posted was about my so called pregnancy! … Read the rest
