Last year for the Shoe Fair, the creators were all assigned to one of the official bloggers. I was lucky enough to get Squinternet Larnia of Donna Flora, and I was very happy! Donna Flora is one of those stores where when you buy something, you instantly feel just a little more fashionable.

I've been in love with the Dana shoes since last year. They're not overly fancy, but they have just that little bit of "kick" [no pun intended!] with the jeweled buckle that brightens up an outfit. I also love the thick heel with the little embellishment. Totally classy.

Speaking of stores that start with the letter D, Decoy is bounding onto the mesh scene! I picked up the Valerie dress at the March Mesh Madness event. I love simple little sundresses and this fits the bill to an absolute tee.

Oh, and while you're at MMM12, stop by Maxi Gossamer. This new-to-me store has some great mesh jewelry, like the Babette necklace I'm wearing. Only this necklace I got for free by joining the free in-world group, so if you want to sample the work before deciding to buy, you can do that. But I guarantee after you see it, you'll want to buy more more more!

March Mesh Madness 2012

The March Mesh Madness event is the first of its kind where designers and creators come together to whip our their mesh best! Starting on March 1st, this event offers everything from clothing to furnishings and decor, as well as templates for your own mesh creations, should you have the gumption. The participating stores are:

While I was there, I ran into two ADORABLE gals – Danica “Dani” Saerwen and Adrienne Walpole – that were also blogging the event. Cheerfully Spring!

So many great deals and sales and events going on! Let me see how much I can smash into one post!

The March Mesh Madness event is going on, and if you're able to get in [it's pretty packed!], you can get this fab Thistle dress from Jane and cute Ginger hair from Wasabi Pills!

Jane is now doing standard sizes, which is a huge WIN for me ever since I modded my shape to fit into the size I wanted. And this dress is so fluffy and adorable, I don't want to take it off! And I am such a fan of Wasabi Pills now that they do mesh hair. This hair is kind of 70s/80s retro with the hairband and it has a low pony tail in the back.

Stumblebum just started its new round yesterday! The theme this time is "Cheer" and the Briar skin from Aura is out in two tones with a couple of makeups. I'm wearing the Aqua makeup to match my dress.

Briar is my everyday skin lately, so new makeups are always nice! The skins this time only come in the Honey and Espresso tones. I'm wearing Honey, and I have to say, I'm really getting attached to it although my normal tone is Milk.

Also for Stumblebum, Frooti has a Happy Days Mini Pack of 3 poses, which I'm using for my post today!

And for SCD's Disco Deals, Dark Mouse has out this delicate Les Etoiles Brillent necklace & earrings set. I am ALWAYS looking for more delicate jewelry, so this fits the bill nicely! I'm wearing the Copper metal here, and it also comes in gold and silver.

So many sales still going on, so I need to run!

A bit more March Mesh Madness and a Disco Deals preview, for a classy every-day look that you could also wear in RL. Actually, that’s one of the things I love best about mesh: it allows designers to create items that look so real and to bring in this pixel world the clothes that one can see on the street. Obviously, mesh can be used to create fantasy avatars or fancy accessories or sci-fi outfits and so on, but I seem to be more interested in RL-ish fashion in SL. And that is ok, since I use SL fashion tips to improve my RL wardrobe. Could I go to work dressed in fairy? Maybe, but then I would be broke forever and my SL inventory would be very unhappy!

The top and jacket are a new release by ColdLogic, available at March Mesh Madness. And the best thing about them is that you can wear them either together or separately to mix and match to your liking. That’s basically two purchases in one. The pencil skirt is by Alexohol and you can also get it at MMM12 – or at the store, if you feel the venue is too laggy. I’d advise you to go though, the build is pretty impressive and there are 20 mesh creators worth visiting there! The shoes are by J.H. Couture and are also mesh. Plus, they are classic pumps, so you can wear them with about anything!

The beautiful jewellery set on Moniq is Dark Mouse’s item for Disco Deals, starting this weekend. It comes in silver, gold and copper. Also, it’s only $L99 per set, which is a total steal!

I’ve finally had a chance to finish up my booth and look forward to exhibiting my work!

Some new items have been released, along with a MMM12 exclusive, a freebie and some discounts too!

Details are as follows:

These trendy star-shaped lamps come in eight colours, all in one set. Click to toggle through on, off or natural daylight. 1 LI each as packaged, mod/copy/no transfer. ( Buy at MMM12 )

Exclusive to March Mesh Madness, these white-veined blue crocus flowers are offered as part of a potted setting but also include all three crocus flower shapes inside. MMM12 Early Entry Press Application

March 1st is rapidly approaching for the March Mesh Madness event, it’s time to start spreading the word!

To help with this, I am looking for bloggers to promote the event, in return you will get early access to the event.

To apply for early entry fill and submit the form at the bottom of the page and download the MMM12 Press Pack.

To qualify for early entry, your blog must publish a post containing the following information:
- One of the campaign posters, at a size of your choosing (you may resize to fit specific blog requirements)
- In addition to the poster, the name, date and location of the event should be written in text.
- The location of the event should be a SLURL link, http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/FATEisland/128/128/22
- (optional) Participant list

Once your blog post has been published, please notify Damien Fate and you will be added to a list of pre-launch press and given access to the island at least one day before the event launches (even earlier if everything is ready!)

Is it also expected that you will publish at least one more blog post launch day (March 1st, 2012) featuring either item(s) found at the event, or reminding people of the event’s actual launch.

March Mesh Madness 2012

Mesh has been in Second Life for 4 months now, there are hundreds of amazing designers bringing everything from mesh clothing to mesh vehicles and pets. Mesh allows for a greater variety and professional finish in content than any other building tool that came before it, and it’s time we showed SL what mesh is made of!

Today I am announcing 2012′s March Mesh Madness event to take place in Second Life, March 1st, 2012. The event will run for 2 weeks and include as many mesh designers and creations as we can fit into one sim. All are welcome to apply, big or small, professional or hobbyist, if you share the same passion for mesh and want to help promote this wonderful addition to Second Life then I want you there!

The MMM12 event will be as simple and relaxed as possible, a nominal entry fee will be charged for all participants to set up prior to opening day and a store area will be provided. There will be no charity involved, no split fee charges, all proceeds will be going to the maintenance fees for the island during the event and setup period.

Spaces are VERY limited with just one sim for the event, so please if you are interested in applying, read the Terms and Application page today and get your application in fast. This is a first come, first served event so don’t delay!

Successful applicants will receive around 500-1000 prims and around 1024sqm area of store space, depending on how many entrants there are.
