Farewell to the Fairelands 2018

The Fairelands of 2018 drifted into the Mists on Tuesday, leaving the Fairelanders feeling a mix of emotions: sadness for losing our second home for a year, happiness for all the shared joy and beauty, gratefulness for another amazing Faire and a longing for their return. Haveit Neox filmed this farewell on the last day, … Continue reading Farewell to the Fairelands 2018 →

LitFest Tours Part 14: Tales from Ardessa

We’re also going to share some of these stories here, and here are stories from … Continue reading LitFest Tours Part 14: Tales from Ardessa →

Ten years of Hope….

And we can hope and dream that before the next ten years are up a cure is found..

Click for Bigger

This is the end of the last day of Fantasy Faire's big Tenth Anniversary event. Started in 2008. And I've been blogging it since 2012, more then half of its time on the grid.

I feel so honored to be a blogger for those years. Every year I get told I am selected once again makes my heart soar. And I hope to still be able to do so for as long as the Faire is around and needed.

This year I am grateful that no one in my life has been lost or lost a love one to Cancer during the run. I still have some fighting it but they are on the winning side of their battles right now if not almost beaten it.

One day this fight will be over for EVERYONE and the Fairelands Junction will forever fade into the mist. with perhaps maybe one last hurrah as a party to celebrate the end of Cancer.

This past year was not that year, but we still dealt the Unweaver a HUGE blow with the funds raised in the time the lands where up.… Read the rest

The Song of the Fairelands

Many of us have a second home. It appears before us for a few weeks every spring, and then fades, leaving behind just memories and a longing. In those few short weeks we rush home, we try to see everything, experience everything, we try to feel the connection to the lands. The Fairelands welcome all, embrace … Continue reading The Song of the Fairelands →

Ardessa by Éclair Martinek. – Fairelands Quest: The House of Garland
Ardessa hosts this year’s Fairelands Quest: the location where all the brave adventurers will do their best to aid the Bard Queen.

All my photos of this sim can be seen at this link here

And here we have the last sim. Its a beautiful sim with so much hidden in its forests I could spend hours or days finding it all. But it is also the QUEST sim and so I was on a search for those items! I do highly recommend doing the quest. Theres a link up above and on every sim you can get a stand alone hud for 250L or one with an outfit by Silvan Moon Designs for 350L. Male and female versions. Both Hud packages give you the hud, and a shoulder version of Cheer the Dragon. which you get to keep at the end of the hunt. And besides those you get a TON of prizes for your small fee and that link doesn't even show ALL of them.

I think this was my favorite quest to date. Did NOT see the end coming!… Read the rest

Soar to freedom

The fairy had some free time from her pod. She was always to stay with her pod, because it was forbidden to fly solo due to being captured by humans. Why you say? Because they were drawn to their bright hues and curious nature. With such new found freedom the fairy soar threw the tree … Continue reading "Soar to freedom"

Critter Adventures in the Fairelands: Bunlings and the Dungeon Treasure

The journey through scarydark had been long. Bunlings kept stopping and peeking behind them to make sure the strange mirror creatures were not following. They didn’t. Eventually they decided that Faireland magic kept them in the Mirror World and relaxed.  “Maybe they’re not mean? Maybe they just look all grrrr?” “Like Matshan?” Bunling flopped his ears thoughtfully. Maybe the Mirror Creatures would be full of good magic too when met. “Ys.” Both bunlings paused to consider this possibility, then shook their heads. “There was no critters near, only bones. That’s bad grrr.” “Yas. Not a weff in sight. Or even a birdy.” “They can stay in the mirror. No need to hlp out!” Happy with their decision the bunlings continued following the gigantic glowing mushrooms that towered over them. The corridors were long and dark, but eventually their noses caught a familiar scent.Read the rest

Critter Adventures in the Fairelands: Sailing in Junction

It is tricksy to cross the sea between Falls of Hope and Aetherea, especially if you’re not a mermaid. Or have a handy snorkel. Or if you cannot really swim, just splash a little in shallow pools for fun. Fortunately the bunling had come prepared with a mighty ship. He did not really have paddles — nor paw flexibility to use any — but the ship had a big sail, and Fairelands always seemed to help the travelers to get where they were going. The bunling liked that, and wished other lands were as friendly, too. As he was bravely sailing across the endless ocean, he suddenly noticed a flower crown emerging from the depths, followed by a fishie. There was a moment of excited waving and almost toppling over, then a calmer happy greeting. The fish said he usually frolics with all his friends in the endless embrace of colours, but sometimes he peeks up at the strange thin water above the cover of the world. Bunling peeked up too, but saw only fluffy clouds in the sky.Read the rest

Fantasy Faire 2018 sim – Aetherea – creators

Click here for a list of all the stores on Aetherea with SLURL's to their main stores and to the sim I will not be posting SLURL's individually, as you can get them all at this handy link. If you need one for an item I have on that is NOT at Fantasy fair, and that will mostly be hair and poses, Ask for it! I'll be happy to tell you, but I am trying to highlight the Fantasy Faire exclusive items, or items by FF vendors only.

So many elegant shops here! many old favs and some new ones. And of course the Creators store Fallen gods which is one of the best fantasy skin stores out there! However, despite Alia doing his best to heal the sim, my computer is old and needs an upgrade and still didn't like it. But that's not the sims fault..but I only got a few shots in before I had to give up and not blog the rest of the items I could have.

I so need a new comp for next years Fantasy Faire!

Silvan Moon Designs did both of the outfits I have on for this sim. This one here is the lovely Golden Age Baroque gown.… Read the rest

Fantasy Faire 2018 sim – Aetherea

AETHEREA | SLURL

Aetherea  by Alia Baroque.
The Immortal embrace where everyone is, where anyone can be and exist, Aetherea is beyond a touch and within reach, she’s a dance of whisps and a vision for an ascended eternal space of time and spirituality.

All my photos of this sim can be seen at this link here

So here is the last of the shopping sims. After this its just the quest sim. And we have a FULL EXTRA WEEK OF FAIRE to do shopping and questing !! The sims will be open till May 7th!

Aetherea, has quite a story behind it, and not tied to the build story. That kinda mirrors the cancer journey. It rose from the faire mist a shining beacon of beauty, then, when faire opened, the sim got sick so very sick. I don't know how other then it was so bad Lindens got involved, the sim got taken offline, wiped clean and Alia even rebuilt the entire thing and a new sim was put in place. Looked the same but, healthier. There's a video here

Now, other then that.… Read the rest
