Sway has created a great furniture set for the Vintage Fair. I love the bright colors and how to mix the pieces as desired. I redecorated my skybox, so this colorful set fits perfectly and I’m sure it will take a few, till I redecorate it again … I’ll do this often in RL … too often for my hubby :D

The Sways “Sixty” Set comes as separates, or in actual sets in various colours. All items are copy and partial mesh!  There is an “Her” chair (I’m using in this pic, one chair with pillow and one without, pillow with texture option and self rezzing props – incl. knitting and reading – “Him” chair also incl. in the set), 4 vintage prints, table, magazine, candy bowl, book with glasses, a floor and a ceiling lamp and a rug in the set !

Oh and yes .. my dress is also from the Vintage Fair, it’s “Drew White” from coldLogic and my hair is from Wasabi Pills “Brigitte” in Wild Honey (after Hair Fair 2012 available in mainstore now).

Curio’s Gala Phoenix is currently in the midst of legal issues which have resulted in her content being removed from the grid, pending the outcome of her legal battle. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) process in Second Life requires that when there is legal action taken against your content, Linden Lab will remove it from the grid until a ruling is made. Gala’s fellow content creators have come together to host a fundraiser to help with the substantial legal costs she will incur in contesting these baseless claims.

The fundraiser will be held from July 9-15.

I received a huge package of skins and tats-addons from [Gauze].

Normally I have a natural skin. But these skins I could definitely get used to. They are a little extreme, unusual, colorful and highly suitable for any fantasy roleplay.

I wear the skins with and without the tats, the skin is available in a female and male version
and in the colors: Lightning, Infared, Ultraviolet and Uranium.
The tats are avaiable in Gaia, Infernos, Meteo and Titan (female and male version of course).

All images are only cropped and the corners were smoothed if necessary … no photoshop colour playing !

From Saturday April 21 to Sunday April 29, 2012,  thousands of Second Life residents and creators will come together to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer.  Nine Second Life sims will be transformed into the Fairelands, a fantasy continent created to host Fantasy Faire 2012, to benefit Relay for Life of Second Life (RFL of SL).

Fantasy Faire 2012 is the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, roleplayers and performers in the virtual world.  Nine days of shopping, live music concerts, auctions, hunts and roleplaying to benefit Relay for Life and the fight against cancer.  Avatars, clothing, furnishings, gadgets, goodies and exclusive items are available from more than 130 of SL’s  top  Fantasy Creators, spread across nine stunning sims designed by some of the visionary artists behind many of the hottest spots on the SL destination guide.

The Fantasy Faire 2012 is made possible by the generous support of Sim and Event Sponsors: Arcanum, Booshies, Epic Toy Factory, Fallen Gods Inc., Rustica, –= Solarium =–, The Looking Glass, T R I D E N T, and Vaengi Wings.

Pose Fair 2012 is starting on the 15th of April, yes … that’s today !!!

I got a sneak peak at the sims and stores and I’m impressed. The sim is set up minimalistic but really beautiful, not overloaded, but stylish.

The sims should rezz fast, so it would be a pleasant shopping experience.

Pose Fair North: This sim is for PG content, and includes the section for family/kids poses.
Pose Fair South: This sim is for more mature content, and may feature nudity or sexytimes.

***Fashion For Life Blog***

‘Fashion for Life’ is the longest running and most successful fashion fair in Second Life ™ and marks the annual start of the official  ‘Relay for Life’ events that take place inworld each year.

All donations are given directly to the ‘Relay for Life’ general fund which benefits the ‘American Cancer Society’ and its thousands of beneficiaries who rely on the charity for support and advice.

Fashion for Life is a hundred percent not for profit, and all organisation, building work and coordination are driven by the work of its volunteers which helps to maximise donated money.

So what’s New for 2012?

This year, Fashion for Life spans an incredible TEN lag free sims with over 200 stores selling the latest fashions, accessories, hair and unique designer items made especially for this event. There will also be gacha areas, a hunt, a raffle and a SALE- all with the end goal of raising funds for the American Cancer Society via SL.

The sims will be laid out in a cross formation and will represent the theme “Its Time…” with builds representing stages in time:  past, present, future and timeless. All building and landscaping have been created by some of SL’s top designers and builders to produce a beautiful environment for your charity shopping sprees!

Alongside the fabulous fashion, there will be a sim dedicated to providing a minimum of 12 hours entertainment and activities every day, so you can socialise, have fun and meet new people too.

Each element has its own sim:

In the “AIR” I had the feeling, I fall through the floor, which I did – straight into the “EARTH”, followed by extreme “FIRE” burning in the feet and last but not least a cool bath in the “WATER”.

Yes, the sims are amazing  and I personally prefer “nostraight” locations, which means the more “confused”, the more I like and have much more fun discovering the sims.

Please note, while the sims are “connected” you cannot just walk from 1 to the other.  There are teleport portals in the center of each sim, as well as the center of the main landing area.  Click this to be whisked away to the next sim of your choice.

Here’s some delicious loots! Donut necklace by Virtual Insanity, sammich mouthie by Atypical and the telltale marks of pillaging in the form of whipped cream and berries on her nose by Sweet Leonard & Needful Things. All of that and the eyes by Shiva are from Greedy Hunt. Hair is the LeLutka freebie from Hair Fair and although I don’t usually much like curls on Sonya, this was just so… crazy-wild-cute that it worked for the nom-raiding pirate girl. The flirty pose by .ploom. is also a Hair Fair freebie. Skin by League, lashes by Redgrave, make-up by Mynerva.

The coat is the latest group gift by S H I N E, but obviously the real stars of the picture are the socks by KOSH (retiring items sent through their subscribo) and the shoes by R2 Fashion (old hunt gift).
