HANDverk has released a set of post modern moulded furniture that would be perfect for a vagrant pixel Auntie Mame to terrify suburbanites with.

I’m showing off my favorite piece in the collection right now, a sofa nee chaise fitted with multiple sits and easy adjusting to keep your arms out of the sides.

I will be showing off the entire set soon but I wanted to pair this piece with the avant garde complete outfit I picked up at Black Haus White Market on Lazy Sunday. Lazy Sunday still one of my fave sale days, thanks for keeping it going.

My nails are SO two days ago, from FLAIR where you can get more nails than you can shake a stick at, to color your SLINK mesh nails. I always wear the ones marked ANIM and they move perfectly with my poses. It’s magic.

The hair isn’t a new release but it’s from Amacci, whom I consider to be a staple of quality releases.  You should pop over there if you haven’t been in a while.

With the advent of Pope Francis before the rise of Peter the Roman, who will be the Pope of the Endtimes, the Antipope has arisen to bestow great evil and destruction to your pastoral Easter holiday.  Avatar Bizarre is happy to present to you another costume in its small collection of religious vestments.  Like the Spanish Inquisition, nobody expects the Antipope!

This costume, which includes a pair of shiny black stompy boots, a mitre emblazoned with an inverted crucifix, and a cossack of blood red and smoky white, is perfect for those Angels and Demons club events, Man of the Cloth role play, or just scaring the devout during their Easter services.

Everything on this costume is Modify and Copy, and the boots also contain a removable resize script, just in case you want to make them smaller than Second Life would normally allow.

I wish more people would take advantage of make-ups. It can take a skin in a whole new direction. Also, don’t be afraid to wear skins with the no brow option. There are SO many brow tattoo’s out there. Some of my favorite brow add-on’s are from Nuuna’s and Rotten Toe. A creative brow can make a whole new look for you.

In the pictures below I started with a clean base from Nuuna’s, it has no makeup on it at all and no brows. This makes it easier to apply add-on’s.

For those who don’t know yet, Zodiac’s new round started yesterday! Aries, the courageous, independent optimistic ram! I don’t know many Aries, but a big Happy Birthday to you!! I have to say my favorite item from this round are these beautiful horns by BOOM, there is also an option with a mask which I wore for this photo. They are just eye catching, I sat there staring at them a bit before I could even put together an outfit for them haha. Also as always Maxi Gossamer has 2 beautiful jewelry sets, she never disappoints, 95% of the time I’m wearing a piece of jewelry from her shop in world. The Tudor family produced two of England’s most famous monarchs: Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Elizabeth had the Golden Age of England, and what did Henry have? The Vatican breathing down his neck, a bunch of wives, and a pair of hose.

In all seriousness, when Henry was King, it was mandatory for a man to wear a hat in public, nobles wore silken hose, and a sword at your hip was more than just a fashion statement.

The Tudor from Avatar Bizarre was inspired by The Tudors on Showtime. The costumes were spectacular, and this spawned something equally elaborate in Second Life. The Tudor comes in six colors and includes:

With a brand new Oz movie coming out, it was time to present some inspiration that hit the shores of Avatar Bizarre a while ago.    In thumbing through a massive inventory, a discovery was made.  That discovery involved a costume made some time ago in only one color!  As Avatar Bizarre is all about all the colors all of the time, and there was a bit of time between projects to do some fun stuff, four more Wheeler colors have materialized.

The Wheeler was a creature that made its appearance in one of the sequels to The Wizard of Oz.  They were a fierce race of people, who grew wheels in place of hands and feet.  If memory serves, they chased Cap’n Jim, Billina, and a little girl (the name escapes me).  The only other thing I can remember about these fearsome creatures are the wicked dreams the movie version gave me as a kid!

Available in Purple and Gold, Teal and Gold, Red and Gold, Green and Gold, and Blue and Gold, the Wheeler comes with a coat in long and short versions, the hand and foot wheels, a plumed top hat, a vinyl shirt, and a pair of shiny pants.

Once upon a time, a couple of kids spotted a light in the sky.  They felt sure it was a spaceman, who came to save them, even though he was sure to blow their minds when he got there.  The spaceman did make that fateful trip, along with his band, the Spiders from Mars.  He became a huge rock star, but fame and his fans eventually destroyed him.

David Bowie gave us a great character and some amazing music.  In addition, he also gave us a great opportunity to recreate some of the fantastic costumes from his Glam period.

This outfit, a green, red, and white striped catsuit, was designed by Freddi Buretti, one of Bowie’s close friends.  It’s been lovingly recreated by Avatar Bizarre, and worn by the lovely Sabina Pinion for her upcoming tribute dance to David Bowie.  One of the most iconic suits Bowie has worn on stage as Ziggy, this outfit comes with the boots, cuffs, collar, and “third eye” forehead spot.  Sabina found a blank eyebrow, and some great red hair to complete this ensemble.

This blog has been sadly neglected over the past couple of weeks as your faithful narrator struggled with Blender, trying to create something, failing, trying again, failing, trying yet again, and nearly getting it that time.  In other words, lots of cursing, tearing out of hair, rampaging with large sticks, and various threats of grievous bodily harm to all Blender coders everywhere later, and Avatar Bizarre now has a partial mesh outfit.

The Djinn is an updated version of an older outfit that utilized sculpties to various degrees of effect.  As this outfit is fairly popular, it only made sense to try to improve on it a little.  This is the result:

Mesh pants with sculpted cuffs that include little flexi strings for added flavor.  Amazingly, the pants actually fit men and women.  Ladies, not to worry about glitches in the male alpha layer.  There will be an alpha included for your lovely shapes, as well.

The shoes, long made from three sculpts, which I’ve never really been that happy with, have turned into non-rigged slippers.  The turban is a textured sculpt with flex feathers and a gem stone.  The snake arm band has been redesigned and re-colored to resemble Cloisonne’ – enamel-painted metal, which was called something else in the Middle East back when the Silk Road was a popular thoroughfare for traders in the East.

The Queen has arrived and she’s ready to take over Narnia.  The Queen Jadis, pictured above, is available in six vibrant colors:  Emerald, Red, Teal, Blue, Purple, and Yellow.  It is also available as a Petite Mesh Avatar outfit, as well as the “biggie” Normal sized avatar version.

Like the Prince Rillian costume I talked about earlier, the queen was inspired by a character in the C.S.Lewis book, The Silver Chair.  Jadis is the character who has attempted on no fewer than three occasions to take over and rule Narnia.  She was played deliciously by Tilde Swinton, and now you can play her just as deliciously in Second Life.

Second Life can be fraught with peril.  Okay, not really.  But sometimes things get made for a specific event that never happens, so then you’re left with an item you suddenly need to foist off on the world at large.

I blogged about this outfit in green a while ago, thinking I was going to be in a hunt with a Narnia theme.  As far as I know the hunt never happened.  Either that, or the hunt organizer didn’t accept my store, for whatever reason.  No worries, though, because I happen to really like the item Avatar Bizarre made for that hunt.  So here we have a nifty medieval style fantasy outfit, available in six colors.

Sascha Frangilli sent me a note that said if I wasn’t too busy chasing around ducks I should check out this gown.

That might make no sense, except that – Sascha and I are RL facebook friends and she and several of my other friends thought that my quest for a duck for Christmas last week was for a duck for the yard or pond. I don’t have a pond. But, if I did, I suppose a duck might be a nice edition.

I like having SL people as RL friends though. And, that note, stuck in my mind reminded me to check out this latest fantasy inspired formal from Sascha .

I have to confess. Sascha makes so many layers that I generally put them ALL on and then click them off to get the look I want. Which, is kind of awesome in terms of flexibility.This dress can be a really formal and traditional ball gown, of the “pick me up at 8 Captain Butler” type or as you see, something very fantasy and imaginative. It’s got skirts and skirts and skirts and options and options and options.

It even has a hairbob! SCORE!

My old friend Roslin Petion has made this gorgeous After Midnight under bust corset for her new brand Luxuria, and while it’s very tempting to just frolic around in the corset and a pair of sheer panties, I decided to dress it up and make it feed friendly!
I’m wearing it with the old Bow tie blouse from Coco designs, which is pretty perfect to wear with mesh items and the newer Fur Tippet with pearls, also from Coco Designs.
At first I wanted to match it with Mon Tissu‘s Oxford pencil skirt but then I tried on Schadenfreude‘s Leith boots (Collabor88) and found out they matched perfectly with the corset… but less with the skirt… so I got rid of the mesh “flap” and stuck to wear the pants part. OMG, really? Deadly sin! Yeah well, sue me, they are well textured unlike a lot the old glitch pants so I am pretending they are just very tight pants, or awesome leggings.
I was weak yesterday and bought Glance‘s new Lana skin, but It’s not really me and I can’t get over the dirty looking nose, but with the right light, it looks on me like I am just that wee bit bored with life that is not unfitting with this baroque/dandy look.
Brand new is Exile‘s Waiting for Tonight hair, which is out at My Attic @ The Deck. The tiara pin comes with it and it’s yet another one of Kavar’s awesome mesh hairs!!

The fabulous mesh costume from JRC makes me think so much of Maleficent, the Mistress of All Evil, who casts the spell on Sleeping Beauty. The dress is actually named Nosferata to conjure the image of a vampire, but I think a vampire queen could be Mistress of All Evil, too. And of course, that makes me think of the wonderful Eartha Kitt performance of “I Want to Be Evil.”

Luckily for me Cory Edo of Trompe Loeil finally made my bottle wish come true. I tried to make myself a genie bottle a few yrs ago and man did it suck.  Cory’s work is just so fantastic I just squealed with joy when I rezzed this.  It’s available at Collabor88 until Nov 7 so make sure you run get it.  There is both a PG and an Adult version and loads of colors for 188L and 388L respectively.

I guess the title is misleading since there’s nothing FooFoo about this bunny. A better title might be Little Bunny Ooh-La-La. I picked this bunny cocktail costume up at Collabor88 a few months ago and wore it for the Halloween Party last night.

The PinUp shoes from N-Core add some color. Don’t you just love the bunny tail?

The body suit comes in a range of colors – and you can buy the accessories separately so you don’t end up with 6 sets of accessories if you go for 6 colors of the bodysuit.

I love the simple sexiness of the new Exile hair. It slides nicely over the mesh bodysuit and looked perfect no matter how wildly I danced.

In another installment for the Raid My Closet challenge, I dug way back to Halloween’s past (2008) for this Katatonik Day of the Dead dress. It’s survived dozens of inventory purges simply because I love it – even though there’s not much chance to wear it.

The boots are also from KatatOnik and have lovely designs on the back for the Day of the Dead – and have survived even though they are pre-2.0.

The jewelry is from Violet Voltaire – and was made to go with the outfit. That colorful bit of furniture just seemed made to be used with this outfit, but it is not old. It’s for the FAIR event that just opened, so it’s not part of the challenge. It’s just colorful, pretty and irresistible.

Trompe Loeil’s Peepshow Skybox inspired me in some big sexy ways.  The box is another incredible meshy production from the every talented Cory Edo. Coming in at only 32 Land Equivalents it’s a great backdrop for sexy photos or for seducing your guy.  The animations are HOT!  My outfit is from Casa Del Shai and is inspired by Liza Minnelli’s Mein Herr performance in Cabaret.   This came out ages ago and I know she performed on a chair but the lights and the stage just shouted broadway to me and my thoughts drifted to Cabaret as it was one of the first plays I saw…..no not the one with Liza in it.

Happy Halloween to all of you who celebrate. Other than the occasional pumpkin at crafty women’s front doors, Halloween in the Netherlands is mostly something that the shops try to push on us, but there is really no Halloween tradition here.

This outfit I was going to wear to The PIxel Bean last night, but I messed up times completely and set an alarm clock at my midnight, which is 6 pm EST but only 3 pm SLT and the party would start at 6 pm SLT of course. BY then I was way back in dreamland and on top of that, daytime saving time ended here last night, so I serioulsy have no idea which time it is right now. Anyway, it will all be better next week when also the US decide to catch up on the winter time and turn back the clock.

One of the dresses that have been released for Cinque is Miamai‘s Stratagem, with an original drawing of the creator, Monica Outlander, or Alice Savage in RL. Can you tell that Monica is a bit obsessed with hair? It’s a gorgeous gown, and the hair attachment is separate, so you can always chose not to wear it… but for the dramatic effect… please do!!

This month’s Collabor88 is hilarious! One of the best ever. I know, I keep saying that, but jeez, these creators never seem to run out of ideas!! I’m wearing R2‘s  Sailor shirt and skirt with La Viere‘s fake plastic crown (yanno, cuz I’m a princess!) and Diva‘s adorable Norma Hair. The Dreamy Genie Bottle skybox by Trompe l’oeil comes full of sits (35 singles and 16 duo seats! Oh and there is an adult version too!!) and comes in various colors as well.

In a few days, on the 22nd, Fair is starting. What fair, you say? No, Fair is starting. A new event where it’s not about the discounts, but about the most awesome content for a fair price.
Chic Management is running this monthly event and they say “So no discount? No worries! Honestly? I couldn’t be less interested in summoning the death, so I’d be a lousy necromancer, but this mesh outfit from Deviance is called that way, and I happen to really love the look of it and the staff is awesome. I’m wearing it with the new Sphynx hair from Amacci and Glam Affair‘s Leah in a grey version. The prim feet are from SLink.
The mesh is non rigged and you can use a resize script to make it fit, although the shape for the outfit comes with the outfit. Also, there is a HUD to change the metals in various combinations.
The pose I used for this pic is from the Huntress series from Adorkable, which was (I think) an event exclusive, so I don’t know if it’s still available.

Although steam punk is not actually what I consider to be vintage, this Odessa outfit from Adoness is seriously cute so I am more than happy to share it here with you guys! It’s a full outfit complete with the top hat and the monocle.

I must confess, I edited the sugarsmack hair some. There is a braid hanging over the shoulder and while I couldn’t take it out, I could make it 100% transparent. I’m a little cheat, I know

I should use them more often, but I have a ton of scenes from Garden Of Dreams. They can be temp rezzed while you “travel” to them in a bubble, and they are full of animations, but of course when you use them for photography, you can easily rez your own pose stand, too. The one I used for this post is The Library, and it’s  one of their newest ones.

Cajsa IMd me and said she knew I was going to love the hair at Hair Fair from Curious Kitties especially with all the crazy options on the HUD. She was right, I was in a dither playing but decided to show you this traditional up do with a modern flair right out of the box, because it’s my favorite color of green.
