So, even though it is not yet released, here is her latest creation…the Embrace IceQueen Christmas Gown.

I am NOT doing this dress nearly the justice it deserves.  In the pic I am wearing only one of several skirt options (the grande skirt).  I am also wearing both the breast feather decoration and the shoulder feather decoration; each piece is individual so you can wear one decoration on just one side.  The feather head piece can be substituted with her amazing Halo; which is a large multipointed star that halos the back of the head and shoulders. There is also a ruffled collar piece if you do not want to wear the feather decorations.

I chose to accessorize the dress with the ethereal Glam Affair Roza Unamed skin, the fashion forward Just Design Mesh Creations Deviant Shoes, Tuty’s LIMBO Short Wet Hairstyle, and Mime Eyes from Dirty Cute-Ugly Duck (store is empty and eyes not currently available).

William Weaver’s build 002 served as a perfect backdrop for the shoot and The Apple Spice Fighting Gravity Poses from Apple Spice, cStar Limited and AnTi-Social highlight the fabulous quirkiness of this dress.
I’ve been visiting the Lumipro blogspot to learn more about how to get the best usage out of my Lumipro HUD from Stefan Buscaylet.  So, on this shoot, I kept fiddling with the lights and found a way to make the shadows pop and become part of the focal point of the pics.

How Alice-inWonderland adorable is this Halloween Dress from AMERIE?!!  It matches perfectly with the equally adorable Pumpkin Bag from :SEY…BOTH are gifties from The Ghost of Halloween Hunt.  This hunt is an absolute blast to do…you search for the little ghosts that flit about and click on them for your prize…but beware…some of the apparitions are tricksters and you’ll end up with one on your head!!  I felt like a real Ghost Buster…so much fun hunting these little BOO monsters.

Of fire and dancing.

One day, a fire spirit was curious about the other elements and decided to walk their places. She danced up into the air to see the spirits that could fly. But it did not really work. The flying spirits were afraid of her and pushed her to the ground, but she left her fire in the air. So they learned to dance and were a little bit ashamed that they treated the one who brought the gift so bad.

The fire spirit landed where the creature walked. Those creatures were bound by gravity and cautious about the fire. But they tried to use these gifts the spirit brought. The fire spirit like these slow walkers but longed to see her fellow dancers, so she walked to find them again.

Led by the same instinct that makes birds find north and south she danced over the earth to find home. But then the land ended and became water. By another instinct the dancer knew this was an element to kill her. The powers living in the water felt the same and stayed clear of her. So she started to dance at the shore of the ocean to evaporate the water. As you can imagine, it didn’t work. At times the fire spirit can be seen dancing fast over the land she is trapped on, but she always stops when there is water. But you can always see her gift to the earth when you see someone dance.

Saturday, October 20 from 6-10pm SLT, there is going to be a massive Halloween party in the Dunwich sim.  Yours truly (in the King in Yellow) will be DJing from 6-8pm.  I play a variety of esoteric 80s New Wave, Gothic, Post Punk, Dance, and other fun things.  Plus I do requests.

8-10pm DJ Gavin Mistwallow will be hitting the airwaves.

In addition to the costume contest, where you can win some cold, hard cash, there will be prize giveaways from the likes of Avatar Bizarre, Immateria, Howling Moon Creations, Perceptions, and more.  As if that weren’t enough, there will also be a mini-hunt in the graveyard all weekend long, where you can find all kinds of nifty prizes from almost a dozen sponsors!

I created this for the Halloween party, and will be selling it afterwards.  The King in Yellow has a strong desire for World Domination, and he has the ability to possess the bodies of those unfortunate souls who have fallen under his power.  He is, quite possibly, an incarnation of Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos.  Or possibly of Hastur.  He usually takes a gigantic humanoid form, dressed in tattered yellow robes.  Though he sometimes sports a pair of wings or a halo, I’ve given mine a set of demon horns, as befitting Pure Evil.

Originally found in a play said to cause madness in all who read it, he wears a pallid mask to conceal the horror that lies beneath.

Remember the Eighties?  Yeah, remember how people used to dress in neon, throw on leg warmers, and dance around to She Bop by Cyndi Lauper?  Remember that?  I’m sure you do.  We all do, whether we want to or not.

I’m betting you probably don’t remember the darker, weirder side of the “Me” decade.  This is the part of the Eighties that gave us Sisters of Mercy, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, and…THE RESIDENTS.

If you don’t know who these guys are, don’t worry.  You aren’t alone.  The Residents were known for their anonymity.  They famously wore masks, and the most famous of these masks were the eyeballs with top hats.  The legend goes that these folks performed wearing these masks until the blue eye was stolen one day.  The Residents put a curse on the thief.  The thief eventually left a note where the eye could be found, but it had a huge crack in it.  From then on “Mister Blue Eye” wore a black skull, since the eye had “Died”.

Now is your chance to own one of these amazing eyeballs in Second Life. They make a fantastic costume for Eighties events, Halloween, or for going on first dates.  Hey, if your intended isn’t scared off by this, then that person is a keeper.

Every now and again I get sent items from shops, some of them I blog some of them I don’t. I try switch things up on my blog because I don’t want to have a defined “style”. I try to be modest to naked, innocent to tattooed. Well I got sent some new releases from a shop called Swords & Sahara Designs owned by ARCO Swords and Lehna Sahara. I had no idea what type of items they sold til I opened the packages and a friend of mine was there and said “That’s a Gor Shop!” I was like “REALLY?!” So I went through the outfits and fell in love with this one, because number 1…it’s awesome. 2…It’s like nothing I’ve blogged before. and 3…I love a good challenge, I love to look at something and say “I gotta blog this, but how?”. Saturday is new release day, and Emo-tions has the super sexy Elaine hair which I think is a definate must have for formal occasions, whether role play is your thing or not. It has a braid across the top and the back is gathered into a chignon at the base of the head. Tendrils falling over the face make this a gorgeous style you'll love to wear.
The headdress is from the Infinity gown set below.

And in the clothing dept of Emo-tions, a black version of a much loved gown - Infinity. There are two skirt versions, one flaring out a bit more than the other. It comes with a gorgeous belt, headdress and gloves and is just the perfect gown for role players, elves, fairies or just those who love being a princess every so often.

The costume is well done and I have no idea why she has it listed for so cheap. The suit is damn near accurate to the real thing, the Lasso of Truth is simply done, and the bracelets and tiara are totally fun!

I don’t know if I have ever discussed my love of comic books, but I find them gems overlooked by most of society. I remember reading Wonder Woman when I was a teen and watching her on TV in the cartoon The Justice League of America. They battled the Legion of Doom usually headed by Lex Luthor. Damn BALDY! It was so cool to watch her in her invisible jet and see her be as much of a bad ass a Superman. Later, I would read about Supes and Wonder Woman falling in love in Frank Miller‘s The Dark Knight Returns.

I guess what I am saying is she was an icon for this anti-social little girl. She presented a moral aptitude that I aimed to achieve. She was a hero for women that didn’t compromise or use a sexuality to manipulate. I really admire that, even if I had no idea back when I was 15 what it meant.

I bought this ridiculously cute, pink, over-the-top dress from Bare Rose at the beginning of this month and I’ve been meaning to blog it for several weeks! This outfit is unreal, it’s got everything. Bride and groom bunnies, angel bunnies, regular civilian bunnies, pink bows, columns holding up tiers, stars, moon, clouds, roses, lace, generous drapes of pink material, hearts…  you get the idea.

The outfit is called Be With You. Included with the outfit is a cute little hat (also adorned with a bunny, rose, and bow) and chunky pink shoes. I usually don’t wear the shoes that are included with outfits, but since this costume is already so super kitschy the shoes were perfect.

This outfit is not meant for those who are faint at heart when it comes to prim usage. All that detail on the skirt comes with a price: 253 prims! Add on the prims for the sleeves, shoes, hat, and other various attachments, and you’re looking at a total of 387 prims. (If you’re using a viewer that has the alpha layer enabled, you could modify the shoes to take the invisprims out and reduce that total by 2.)

To finish off my cartoonish look, I added on a couple of tattoo makeups from cheLLe (eyeshadow and blush), and wore my current favorite hair from Jade. I had to modify prims on the hairstyle to make it work with the hat, but it was a really quick fix. In just a minute or two, I was able to do some simple shrinking of a select few prims.
