Let it Go; Elsa Challenge

CHALLENGE:  Please make your own modern day Elsa inspired look. If you do, please leave a comment below.

I can't believe it is almost the 21st of the month. Where did January go? The 21st of the month means 21 shoe and this round Livalle has some Frozen inspired boots named Elsa and some very sexy hot pink and black Luscious platform heels named Sex n' Candy. Two very amazing shoes for the price of one; see them both on the Livalle blog! The Evoke boots are fitted to the regular avatar, slink physique, and belleza venus mesh bodies. Lindsey was so excited about these shoes that she went ahead and put them in the main store- so you can get a head start on the 21 goodies this month and shop today.

When I saw these Frozen inspired boots, I decided to make a modern day Elsa. This idea has been done by different SL bloggers and I have loved all the variations. Natalee Oodles (owner of Noodles) and blogger at styleminions.com did a 26 week Disneybound challenge last year that was lots of fun to view.… Read the rest

Sartorialist Challenge

Strawberry challenged us to find a well dressed stranger and take their picture. I must admit that I was not planning on participating in this one cause awkward! I am pretty outgoing and an extrovert though so it was not actually that difficult when I spotted my prey  subject. I also was thinking about getting some more male fashion on my blog. So please meet Tyderius Serevi.

I was going to OMG Gacha to feed by Gacha crack addiction when I spotted an adorable suit and wing tip shoes. I had not even been thinking about the challenge, but I knew instantly that I was about to try and make a total idiot of myself.

Kirsten Corleone: hi Tyderius
Tyderius Serevi: Hello Kirsten
Kirsten Corleone: would you mind if I took your picture?
Tyderius Serevi: Not at all

Wow that was not hard at all! In fact Tyderius never did ask me WHY I wanted to take his picture. Maybe he is used to girls asking to take his picture! I just snapped him as he moved about in the animated stands in his AO.… Read the rest

Can Heather find a job that won’t interfere with her tan?

I know, I already did a post today, but Berry did a Yearbook Smile Challenge today that I couldn't resist! Of course, if I'd ever looked this pretty in any of my RL yearbook pics, I think I would have dropped dead. So that's the first rule of taking a good yearbook picture, I guess. Just be good looking already. *laughs*

I get asked a lot why I smile in so many of my photos. The simple answer is that I'm happy and that tends to come out in my pictures. But truthfully, it's more that I cannot stand photos where people are just staring dead-eyed even though it's supposed to be a photo that conveys some kind of emotion. There are, of course, photos where a just neutral face is appropriate and that's fine. But if you're taking a picture where you're supposed to be jumping for joy and yet you look like you're just waiting for your car's oil change to finish up, well... that doesn't make for a very good picture in my opinion.

I don't really like any of the mesh mouths out there. I find that mostly they make people look like there's a good chance that person cannot put on their own shoes.… Read the restChallenge - Yearbook Pic

Kirsten’s Basics and Digits June 2014

It was past time for me to update my basics post. I have it on the sidebar of my blog because I do not always credit the items that I wear almost all of the time. My last basics post was in May 2013 and many items have changed. My last digits post was June 2013 and there are a few changes there too mostly due to a separate shape when I wear breast and butt attachments. Since I was going to update my basics post, I decided to combine it and participate in Berry's fourth digit challenge because I have participated in all of the other digit challenges. So here goes: Kirsten's basics and digits of June 2014.

My shape for mesh has changed very little. I have not come across a whole lot of fitted mesh yet and the ones I have tried have not seemed to fit very well. For example around the waist when you move the clothing would go through my avatar. So far I have not bothered with figuring it out and changing my shape because most items include the 5 standard sizes as well as the fitted mesh variation.… Read the rest

Fetish Friday: AtaMe Mame and a Sexual Meme

Long, Formal, Thigh-high slits, and Latex make a very sexy new creation by AtaMe. You can get this gown in red or black latex and find it in the new releases section of the main AtaMe store.
So I have been thinking about the Sexual Meme that Strawberry did a few weeks ago and I have not done it because I could not decide which avatar to do it with. Kirsten is my main but Lingerie embodies my wildest sexual wants and desires. For those of you that can read between the lines, yes, all of the bloggers on kirstentacular are really the same RL woman. Although its the same RL me, my answers to these questions would vary slightly with each avatar because I definitely intend to answer them from my SL perspective. So after much contemplation, I have decided to include my answers to the Sexual Meme with my Domme avatar, Lady Ling.
Sexual Questions: (from Me as Lady Ling in SL)
  1. What is your sexual orientation or do you not like to label yourself? – I am mostly attracted to men, however there is something enticingly provocative about dominating a beautiful female form too.

Snow Kisses

I always have fun with Hiram. It does not really matter what we do. I am always happy just to be with him. We both really love Gachas and Arcade and had so much fun this round. I am still opening all my stuff, lol. This picture spread highlights our Remarkable Oblivion rare hats, my Curio Obscura coat, Hiram's Dynasty rare shirt, and our Secret Store ice skates. I had the picture above in my head and Hiram found the perfect pose as a dollarbie on marketplace from G'Secret so I could get it from my head onto this page. I have a bunch of Arcade things for sale at the Juicy yard sale too, even a few rares.

I also thought this picture spread would be great to participate in this weeks Strawberry meme: Winter Season. I am at my friend Lolita's house. Thank you Lolita for letting me use your beautiful home! So here goes.
1) What is the December/ Winter season like where you live? Like Strawberry, I live in Florida so we don't really have a winter. I do live in Northern Florida though so it does get cold although its been about 75 the last few days.… Read the rest

Kirsten is a Sci-Fi Gamer Geek

I had way too much fun at the Geek 'n Nerds Fair. Like WAY TOO MUCH fun, rofl. Geeky Gachas galore, nerdy clothes and accessories, and poses.
I love Stargate, Star Trek (Enterprise mostly, but then I fangirl Scott Bakula, and Entertprise is the best!), Quantum Leap,  Dr. Who, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Harry Potter, X-files, Fringe, Battlestar Galactica, Torchwood, Big Bang Theory, and Heroes. That qualifies me for something geeky, I am sure. I took three geek tests. I never did figure out what I really am. I got mixed results, somewhere between geek and nerd though I guess.

The first one I did was the one on Strawberry Singh's meme, How Geeky Are You?

That one was really just a computer geek test though, imo. So I went searching for something more comprehensive and found the Geek Test. Kirsten is a Total Geek, but that is only 31% Geek.

Then I really got obsessive, which I tend to do (this makes me more of a geek). I started researching the difference between nerd, geek, and dork.… Read the rest

Google Meme Kirsten Corleone

I don't even try to keep up with memes and challenges because it is hard enough trying to keep up with the fashion industry in SL (as best I can) while working full time in RL. Often I see one that I think is cool and want to do it, but usually end up doing them later if at all. This meme was from Strawberry about 2 weeks ago. I am choosing to just do the original meme and only google my SL name.
1. Google your second life name in quotations and share your results: About 7,010 hits.
2. What is the first link that comes up? My plurk page was first and that surprised me! My blog was second.
3. Which link were you surprised to see? The big surprise for me was that in July Iris Ophelia of New World Notes did a news article with my avatar name in the title- about me, my blog, and a video blog that I made about the materials viewer! I can't believe I missed that and that nobody else told me about it!
4. Click on the image tab and tell us where the first 5 pictures are from. Before I clicked on the tab I saw the preview of images above and I was a little ticked off that the very first one is for the copybotted shape that is being sold on marketplace using my avatar name without my permission.… Read the rest

Fall in Love

I wanted fall couple pictures and after I got these poses from nani at OMG Gacha; I simply had to do this photo shoot. The pictures all came out a bit differently as I played with windlights and post-processing. Hiram and I had a lot of fun shopping for our outfits together and being a cute matchy matchy couple. I wanted to do this shoot and the Strawberry meme from last Monday, but it took me the week to get it all together. Better late than never!

  1. Is autumn your favorite season? Why or why not? – My favorite season is spring. I love new leaves on trees and flowers. Catepillars turning into butterflies and baby chicks hatching both remind me of that time of year.

2. Do you call it Autumn or Fall? – I almost always call it Fall.
3. What kind of weather does your area get during this season? – I live in Florida so we don't really have fall. We have summer and a few weeks of colder weather interspersed in our "winter." It is 72 degrees right now.
This next picture I made two of them, one up close and one farther away and one in daytime and one at night.… Read the rest
