Yes, I feel like yesterday’s newspaper because I didn’t get this outfit blogged before coldLogic did another release but at least I’m getting it done before another Truth release. Oh yeah and Flair has released twice since the nails I’m wearing which were the newest when I took these pics on Monday.

You have a few more days for FaMESHed and there is some great summer furniture available including this cute chair called Calathea from Pixel Mode. For each wood color you get 3 blanket and pillow placements. The pillows and black are texture change via menu. This would look just perfect in the garden or on the beach hanging from a palm.

coldLogic recently released some cute summer items with off the shoulder tops. I love these jean shorts. Sometimes I don’t want the super short shorts and these fit well for something more conservative. With Truth’s Sadie hair the whole outfit takes on a bit of a vintage look. Now that I think about I should have worn some keds type shoes instead of flip flops. Oh well… hind sight and all that. Either way you get the point.

Last friday when Glam Affair finally released the hand appliers for the SLink hands and the first place I ran to was Flair. So many styles to chose from. I’ve never seen so many types of nail art. I have a slight obsession with pinstripe, I think it is a fantastic fabric, and just love what can be done with it now that we have mesh. In the past system layers would distort pinstripe that it often just was not a good look, but now we can revel in it. The NEW Portan bustier/corset top from SySy’s just hit the store, and it comes in many delicious colours. There are also amazing brights colours and the lemon will be my favourite especially with the upcoming sunnier SL days…while I freeze my buns off Down Under.

Every year I declare to myself I wont follow the seasons in SL that I will try and stick to my own, so that I can at least feel snuggly and warm, but there are always such beautiful creations released, there is no way that can ever happen. It is rough during our summer though, sweating and bundling up my avatar in snow boots and parkas lol. While summer in SL can fool me into feeling warmer, winters in SL just makes it hotter.

It’s a long weekend for my avatar and I’ve got a new shop that got me beach ready in a hurry. Lacuna has released breezy maxi skirts and gorgeous toned bandeaux for sunning yourself on relaxing island days that are perfect as our thoughts turn to sunshine and the beach.

First up, this new structure is the product of a lot of research and construction to capture the essence of an abandonment located in Detroit, called St. Agnes (later, Martyrs of Uganda Parish), but better known as St. Stony by many urban explorers.

Built during the early 1900s, the structure was abandoned by 2006 and has fallen victim to a great many acts of vandalism; metal parts have been salvaged for scrap, ornate tiles removed and smashed, pews torn away and organ smashed to bits. By the time I got a chance to visit in late 2010, graffiti had crept ideas way to the interior, and things have only gotten worse since then. While the building was acquired in 2012 once again, it remains to be seen whether the building will be restored or simply torn down, like so much of Detroit has been in recent years.

In any case, the key goal for me with this project was to preserve a sense of the building as I remember it, rather than to produce a straight copy, and hopefully that comes across here.

The building is 36m by 60m, with a 20m ceiling and 35m spire. It is packed in a rezzer for easy unpacking and placement, and features high quality textures, efficient modeling, scripted doors, optional window light rays. It’s mod/copy/no- transfer, with some copy- only scripts.

I wanted to try out this technique that Miss Berry made a tutorial for a couple of weeks ago, and today seemed like a good day, so I roped in Mister who blogs at Arya’s Heart and turned him to dust! Muahahaha

I’m doing another kind of gothic look I guess, with this new Salome dress from Bilo. It’s available in a few dark colours, obviously I just went for classic black. It’s a mesh/layer hybrid with the top being a texture layer, glitch layer pants and a mesh attachment that flows around the legs. It’s a classic formal dress with a sexy cutout front so you can show a bit of cleavage!

I’m not gonna list all of Misters credits coz to be honest, I dunno them! But I do know he is wearing the mesh suit from Kauna that was out for May’s round at FaMESHed.

Well, my computer went wonky this morning. Each photo I shot crashed my entire laptop and turned my screen to a jumbled mess of multi colored pixels, so it is off for repairs. Fast repairs, I hope.

Meanwhile, I got a couple snaps of this outfit that features a gorgeous sleeveless top with gorgeous collar points on the collar. The folder comes with your choice of gold or silver collar points (or tips). I chose silver because the belt on the pants is silver, too. Collar points are more common in menswear, in particular Western style clothing. At one time no self-respecting country singer would be found without collar points.

I added the fabulously strong silhouette of these high-wasted pants from Gizza. With the wide, long legs, they have a powerful style all their own.

My hair is from Truth – a new release with a lovely casual style. The skin is another of the special release from Glam Affair for Collabor88.

1. Come on lets GO: I have an intense need to HAVE a summer this summer and this photo looks like everything I want to do. Now if only I could get into that bikini.

2.While My Guitar … I love the styling although I confess at first I thought you were topless young lady. The shoot has a great vibrancy and use of yellow to convey summer and warmth.

3. 131: This is one of these great shots that is everything I always want to do but then get silly and don’t do. I can’t be serious long enough to carry off something this complete and flawless.

4. The Disney Bound Challenge: I have no idea what the Disney Bound Challenge is. I can’t be bothered to look it up. BUT, this blogger has presented her look in a great classic and concise editorial style that completely caught my eye. The second photo of her stretching really made me smile, it’s an avatar in motion shot that seems to breathe life into her pixels and that always impresses me. Cleo Skin tones - no PS aside from smoothing edges. Aida Ewing has been on my skin loving radar since she released a few skins under her brand, Beauty Avatar, at a skin fair many many moons ago. Since then, she has been very hard at work, releasing not just consistently but growing so much and getting better with each release.
