everything always comes to an end. sometimes, endings can lead to sadness && sometimes endings can lead to more freedom, happiness and relief than expected. but nevertheless, my own ending can only be defined as… bittersweet.

with months of rl insanity, my blogging time in sl has taken a hit. and rather than thinking of it as an annoyance, i’ve come to think of it as a blessing in disguise. without feeling the need to blog, i’ve found myself actually enjoying my second life when i get the chance to log in. and it’s been wonderful.

so even after almost three years of off-and-on hard work, i’m ending it here.

to all the designers i’ve come to know in second life: thank you. it’s been my absolute pleasure to showcase your wonderful items in the best way i can.

to everyone who has ever read my blog: thank you. every single visit to my little corner of the internet means quite a lot to me.

cause, y’know, that’s the best thing to do at the buttcrack of dawn. ;P and luckily for us, there is a *hunt* going on right now to supply us with said underwears… free of charge~

the dirty pillows hunt started at the beginning of the month && bff vivi and i were pretty excited to tuck in to it. me, i was most excited for the fact that free lingerie is the best lingerie (considering out of all the categories of clothing there are in my virtual wardrobe, the smallest folder is for bras ‘n’ panties), but for vivi… she was excited because this hunt includes boobies.

the grid has seemingly exploded lately with big ole titties. clothing ads, blog posts, flickr pics… it’s hard to miss ‘em nowadays. and while i’ve always been happy with a smaller cup-size, vivienne on the other hand took the plunge and picked up a pair of lola’s prim breasts.

bff vivi and i have been putting a few last finishing touches on our new home.. y’know, the little details that make things look more “lived in”. and since our living room is so huge (ie, there’s enough room for a full living room set while *still* leaving half the room undecorated), she and i decided to put down a cute dining room set… even though we don’t have a kitchen. ;P only in sl!

and so my look for today is very appropriate for lounging around my house, something comfy but still cute.. while i rez and re-rez candles and books and paintings and picture frames and flower pots.

this cute cream-colored mesh top i’m wearing is *new* from sakide. there’s lots of new releases at sakide, all of which are awesome separates. ponchos(!), jeans, stockings, boots.. but these v-neck tees were probably my favorites out of the bunch. they are great for layering, which is something i *love* to do in autumn, but still season-appropriate enough on their own to totally work for fall. and i liked this khaki color for how versatile it is to work with!

…not only is the color palette gorgeous (shades of deep orange, golden yellow && cool teal-blue), but just about everything i spied there was callin’ my name~

collabor88 is one of those events that i look most forward to every single month. the mixture of home furnishings (which *really* helps, considering i’ve a brand new home to finish decorating!), fabulous fashion, accessories and even poses is all kinds of awesome. but this round, i found *so* many things i honestly flipped out for that i couldn’t even fit everything into one look. the collections just keep getting better && better and this round was definitely no exception.

the dress i’m wearing here is *so* sexy. it’s from hucci and i absolutely love it. the turtleneck collar, the length of the skirt, the lovely suede texturing…. and the way it moves… it is just flaw free. the fit on this dress is fantastic and i adore this blue-gray color, but i also snagged it in black because it was just too *good* to pass up.

glam affair also has a few new things at collabor88 this round, including both the boots(!) && the skin i’m wearing today. the seul ankle boots come in a range of really pretty jewel tone colors that almost look metallic, but my favorite was this pretty golden bronze color. it’s neutral enough to work with just about anything i could possibly want to wear  (Read more...)

we’re *mostly* moved in… not everything is decorated and we’re still in the stages of figuring out what to put where… but since my bedroom is just about finished, i decided i’d pose there for my bloggity pics there today.

our land is still beachy, so our furnishings for the moment is in shades of cream, khaki, blue, and yellow. but i am really liking it && the entire sim is gorgeous, so vivi and i have had no problems settling right in~

i promise once it’s all decorated, i’ll snap some pics.. but for now, you’re stuck seein’ me in my bedroom. ;P

and it *all* started with this cherry print skirt.

i picked it up from teefy @ the new fameshed collection because… it’s cherries(!). this print is so cute and i love the way these skirts fit. high-waist skirts are always super sexy, especially when they’re nice and short like these are, but i chose to wear the skirt underneath a large ‘n’ comfy hoodie (from ispachi — this light blue color is wonderful!) for a more cute, casual look.

these shoes from g field were *perfect* for this look… because while i grabbed the black pair, most of the shoe is totally customizable. the upper half, the toe, the sole && the laces are all texture change, so i was able to change my shoes to match my red && blue look. these shoes are fantastically made (as is everything from g field), and really nice for casual wear.. and the fact that i can match them to just about *anything* make these a great bargain.

my chair has horns and a raven. my chair > your chair.

i have this chair because i wanted something funky to pose with for my look for today. there really was no *need* for a chair, but i found this one at handverk (because maybe.. just maybe.. i was there eying up a few more pairs of heels, y’know, to go with my sweet pink penis pumps) and i was compelled to buy it. i mean, it has horns(!) and a raven(!!).. what more needs to be said?

so to not detract from the awesomeness of this chair, i decided to dress understated and demure…….. with gray skin, purple-tipped ears, red eyes and some crazy eye makeup. ..*coughs*

anyway! my look for today is a combination of a few things i wanted to show off, so let me touch on ‘em here before i get too sarcastic. these huge platform’d boots i’m wearing are from sakide and if you act *fast*, they might still be available to grab! they were a 100L special for halloween and, as i’m sure you’re aware, halloween is over… but these boots are still great for beyond just halloween. they’re textured with spider webs and such, but it’s subtle and you really have to look close to see the pattern… which means these *won’t* be sitting in the bottom of my inventory until next october. they’re thigh-high and *mesh* and i really, really liked these. go scope out sakide if you’d like them, i hope they’re still out!

the costume look i’ve got for today is another one for halloween on a budget. i already did one costume on the cheap && today, i’ve got a second one~

i know it’s already made rounds on the feeds, but i could *not* resist blogging this dress from g field myself. it’s *free* and so adorable.. and perfectly halloween. and i immediately saw it as a very appropriate dress for a witch to wear.

so i added in some more free accessories.. like the orange ‘n’ black nails + bracelet combo i’m wearing here is a *group gift* for candy nail group members. you know i love my prim nails && the gifts from candy nail are always lovely, so i was excited to see these out for the taking. the set comes with a pair of earrings as well, which i’m not wearing here, but it all works well for adding in some extra halloween colors into a look.

yeah, me neither. *shrugs* wonder where that feeling comes from anyway…

so! today, i’ve got a.. pretty lady lost in the woods kind of costume look. this gorgeous dress from sakide, which is out @ the cinema event, inspired the look i put together for today. i was thinking of a dark, windy night…. a bright, full moon overhead… and creepy, ominous surroundings with only a single handheld lantern to light the way. i think i achieved that, what say you?

instead of a forest, i used one of my favorite spots for photography && headed over to innsmouth, which ended up being the *perfect* spot. the fog, the dilapidated buildings, and the fact that i was totally *alone* worked for the kind of mood i was trying to set. it looks spooky and wonderful and absolutely fitting.

it’s just a shame i was all by myself… i mean, *completely* by myself… because on a night like that, having someone else there to keep me company would’ve been a big relief.. y’know, to keep the boogeyman from coming to get me. if you even believe in that kinda stuff.

this look was *all* for fun.. and inspired by these adorable plastic crowns @ collabor88 by laviere. i knew i had to do an evil fairy queen kind of look with this crown and my *petite* li’l friend here was more than willing to dress up with me. she seemed to think she was a teeny tiny princess, but alas… she is my minion instead! /me cackles maniacally….

anyway!

this costume all started with the crown, but it really came together when i started playing around in my inventory. i got lucky with the halloween gatchas @ the depraved nation and was able to snag these super cute horns by chus in red… which matched this dress i’ve had for *ages* from katat0nik quite nicely. some freebie kiss-dotted stockings by sheer && a pair of color-change pumps from gos matched, too, and when i added the wings (because *every* evil fairy queen needs wings!) from epic and this wonderfully sparkly wand (because *every* evil queen needs a wand, too!) from love always.. this look suddenly became very evil-queenly indeed.

so, apparently i like quoting mean girls… but! i figured it was a fitting quote, considering the costumes bff vivi && i are wearing in my post for today..

i’ve done creepy, i’ve done cute, i’ve done character cosplay…. time for somethin’ simply sexy for halloween! and there is little that’s sexier than two playboy bunnies.

all we need is a nice tray of martinis to serve..

aaaaanyway! the key to these looks are these mesh bodysuits from hucci. we both picked these up @ collabor88 several rounds ago, but thankfully these sets are still available at the hucci mainstore. vivienne is wearing the entire set here — including the cuffs, collar, ears && tail — and these are *perfect* for a halloween costume all in one.

i accessorized my look with an rabbit ear ‘n’ tail set i picked up from o.m.e.n. (because i was trying to better match my ears/tail to my hair color.. is that weird?), which includes several sets of these *adorable* bunny ears and tails in a bunch of color choices. these sets are so cute, as is the kitsune set i wore here, and i love that the ears come in straight-up versions as well as the one-ear-bent variation i’m wearing here~

i really love how the entire grid seems to change with rl seasons… i’m seeing less && less bright green grass and more gorgeous fall foliage. and while i was on the warrumbungles sim (shopping, of course x3), i realized just how pretty the scenery was outside the store i was in. so naturally, i couldn’t resist taking a stroll down the cobblestone street and snapping my blog pics for today there.

and this windlight setting i used made the pretty trees behind me seem to glow, which was a wonderful effect. i rarely post process my blog pics here, the only thing i tend to do is mess a bit with brighness/contrast and sometimes smooth out jaggies on the avatar mesh, so the backdrop you see here is all in-viewer goodness. i used a windlight by elysium eilde (with a few tweaks for more cloud coverage in the sky) and it was absolutely perfect for painting a pretty autumn picture.

now onto my look…

the skin i’m wearing today is from leafy.. and i’m honestly not sure why i’ve not given this brand a chance before. i *love* this face. these lips are perfection in shape and color && this skin tone i’m wearing here (called lumiel) worked so well with the freckle tattoos i wear all the time. it came with a pure, make-up free face which is ideal for layering your own favorite makeup tattoos on top, and a face with a simple black cat eye that i’m wearing. i honestly could not decide which skin to pick up first — (Read more...)

there’s *new* stuffs from some of my favorite brands && all of it is so perfect for halloween. or, y’know, everyday-wear if you’re me.

the skull-face tattoo && the multi-ring ear piercing i’m wearing above are new as a collab by nuuna’s and haus of darcy… and i cannot tell you how hard i fell for both. the piercing is partially mesh — the long spiked piece in my earlobe is mesh and awesome — and includes the facial tattoo in varying degrees of opacity for both men and women.

it’s available @ the fair event, the collection just rolled over to some really great new goodies, and if you’re anything like me.. you *need* this set. it is to die for (haw, no pun intended).

now, the skin i’m wearing underneath nuuna’s beautiful skull-face…

…is just one of *many* released from glam affair. this appropriately named dark side collection features some beautiful makeups on a range of skins from dark and mysterious to light and haunting. and they are absolutely gorgeous.

to be fair, i’d wander around the grid like this even when it’s not halloween… but these “costume” kind of looks are so fun for me to put together && i could not resist doing something a li’l spacey!

this look here involves a lot of good stuff, so i’ve got lots to talk about!

first, the dress… it screamed *sci fi* to me. it’s new from glam affair && is out @ fameshed. i love the super structured shoulder pieces on this dress, it definitely looks to me like some sort of cybernetic uniform and it inspired my entire look for today~

next, the booooots(!). these are found @ the cinema event, by decoy. that entire event is just amazing — from the build, to the theme, to all the goodies offered there — and these boots in, appropriately enough, the sci fi section were one of my favorite grabs. i love the shape of them and the fit.. and those colored stripes towards the foot are color change in either solid or glittery choices!

and the skin… which really gives my avatar an alien sort of vibe. it’s *new* from red mint and while, technically, the one i’m wearing here is meant to be drow.. i think it really works well for a sci fi, fantasy kind of look. this silvery blue is so pretty && it comes with a ton of options for cleavage, freckles, and different lips. plus! if i weren’t wearing these awesome arm prosthetics from grollwerk, the s (Read more...)

so today, it’s actually my best friend who inspired these costumes. bff vivi is *all* about the anime, so when we found a few key accessories on the marketplace..

…i knew i’d have to indulge her, just a li’l bit.

these mesh heads from utilizator are all kinds of awesome — i’m wearing the regular female version but vivienne is wearing the *chibi* style (and is so cute i could scream x3) — and are chalk full of options. there are several facial expressions, including different mouth and eyebrow positions, as well as different eye styles and colors… and each come in three skin tones, with matching skins and head pieces, for tons of customization.

these would be fantastic for cosplay in sl — emulating a favorite character from an anime or manga series would be a breeze with these head pieces — but they also work for making up your own types of characters like vivi && i have done.

…well, i guess you could, and i’d certainly try, but y’know. just go with it.

vip group members for oOo studio were treated to this grungy loft posebox the other day && it inspired the entire look you see here. pose props, for me, are usually hot or miss — i tend to like them, but only if they’re unique enough to really stand out from finding a nice in-world backdrop. and this one, with the included poses and all those dynamic shadows cast through the windows and doors, was definitely a hit with me.

also released the other day are these pierced && gauged ears, from mandala. it was instant love for me, i *had* to have them, and they are worth every linden imho. the options alone for wearing these make them fantastic — there’s tons of textures and colors to choose from for every single part of these ears (including the *adorable* kitty faces i chose here for the plugs) as well as several sizes of gauges in either plugs or tunnels. they look amazing on and are packed full of bits ‘n’ bobs, as if i’d expect any less from goodies from mandala~

i’m not sure what’s more terrifying — a lone zombie meandering down the street (because you know where there’s one, there’s many not far behind) or the fact that said zombie is carrying a rather large knife. nevermind *how* the zombie got the knife, though, because… it just seemed fitting for the look, okay? xD

this look is surprisingly easy && inexpensive to put together, too, if you act fast! the ghostly white skin i’m using here is part of the gachas @ the arcade from glam affair && the current round is only up until the 15th (and that’s tomorrow!). but for a very small cost, you can try your luck at the machines… and there are several skintones available that’d work well for a zombie look!

suppose i needed to recover from the nekkidness of yesterday. ;P

so i slipped into a comfy (and still pretty!) tank top from red mint && these cozy mesh socks from intrigue co (out @ collabor88) that are totally adorbs and called it a day.

my hair for today is actually a *freebie*(!!) from magika — two colors of this faint hairstyle, the orange-dipped style i’m wearing here && another tipped in red, are available to subscribo members free for halloween! this straight bang’d style, complete with long curly q strands falling over the shoulders, is one of my favorite releases to date from magika.. so i may have squee’d a li’l when i saw these out for the grabbing.

and because i cannot resist accessorizing even a little bit, i tried on this *new* necklace from amorous and totally fell in love… this orange color is gorgeous, all the metal bits ‘n’ pieces are color change (ranging from dark silver to a deep bronze to a shiny black), and all the details on this piece are just perfection.

i may be recovering from a bout of outfit block, and still not quite fully covered here, but at least i’m not subjecting everyone to my bare boobies again! bwahahah~

when you’ve been blogging as long as i have (working on 3 years, now!), it’s really really easy to hit outfit block. like writer’s block or artist’s block, it just kinda hits at random and suddenly… nothing looks good together, nothing works for an outfit, nothing jumps out at you and clicks for a cohesive look. and after blogging almost daily for all this time (not counting the times i’ve had to take breaks, eh heh), that’s a whole lotta looks! and that’s a whole lotta posts! so naturally, i’ve *got* to hit outfit block every once in a while… right?

shades of mint, golden pink and bleached bone are not exactly typical for autumn, but *i* think this look works! i mean, who is to say i cannot wear a nice short skirt when it’s windy and blustery outside, hmmm? ;P i have tights on! that’s enough…. right?

but! i mentioned new stuffs, didn’t i?

the new collection @ collabor88 rolled over the other day… and a few of my favorite things this round include the skin i’m wearing here by glam affair with the most *perfet* rosy-red cheeks, this mint sweater by ufo complete with a flamingo-patterned button down underneath, and these spiked bracelets by maxi gossamer. i couldn’t help but pair the sweet, feminine sweater with these punk’d out bangles — not only does it keep a li’l extra bit of vixxie in this look, but offers a nice contrast between cute ‘n’ trendy and dark ‘n’ badass.

this skin is labeled as demon… but this half-beauty, half-beast sort of face *immediately* made me think of a certain villain from gotham city. and thus, this look was born.

and, i have to say — it has been a long long time since i was *this* inspired by a set of skins. they are so creative, and because of that, it was easy to be creative myself when dressing to match them. i am *so* in love with this skin, honestly, that i about squeeeeeeee‘d when the gatcha gods smiled upon me and i got it on my second try.

of course, i couldn’t simply dress in a half-and-half suit and call it a day. i mean, certainly that’d be fitting for the character i’m trying to emulate and everything… but i had to girly it up just a li’l bit. a lacy bodysuit from sakide, knee-high boots in black ‘n’ white from gos, half and half stockings from izzie’s and this perfect mesh jacket from gizza round out the look in tailored, monochrome loveliness. it’s sexy and structured and just a little bit naughty… and i totally love it.

but you be the judge! the skin gave me that extra nudge to go for it, but here was my original inspiration..

i love christmas, i love easter, i love my birthday (yes, my birthday *totally* is a holiday, tyvm).. but there’s just *something* about halloween that really tickles my fancy. it’s been the holiday i look most forward too all year ever since i was a little kid. i love dressing up, i love scary ghost stories, the candy isn’t bad … it’s just fun. and figuring out costumes in my sl as well as my rl is just as exciting!

bff vivi && i both absolutely fell in love with these gatcha skins from pxl released earlier this week. each face is something different and the variations range from super spooky to pretty and whimsical. but these two skull-versions, mine as more of a hollow skeleton face and vivi’s as an absolutely stunning sugar skull, really inspired us both~

we dressed in lovely, frilly dresses.. both from violent seduction. both ensembles are a little older, but awesome nevertheless. i’ve been a *total* mesh convert ever since it went grid-wide, but there are some things that mesh just cannot do yet. and tiered fabrics, with movement and frills and delicate flexible lace pieces are something that just wouldn’t look as nice in mesh. and these dresses are a nice example of how newer doesn’t always necessarily mean better.

the newest releases from burley included this amazingly wavy hat-and-hair combo && i immediately fell in slooooooooove. the brushed-over bangs and this hat are just ridiculous amounts of awesome and i pretty much had to have it the moment i saw it.

so i put together an *urban casual* sort of look, befitting of my new hat~

i’m even wearing *two* freebies with this look — one of which, the glasses, i snagged @ swag fest from epic. i love a good pair of glasses && these oversized frames were not only *1L*, but they’re also infinitely color-change. i liked the way the dark gray checks here matched with my sweater (by erratic, which is out for the new round of fameshed!), but i just as easily could’ve gone with red or yellow or piiink… a fully customizable cheapie like this is awesome!

the necklace i’m wearing is also a freebie — a group gift from the jewellery exchange. i spied this li’l panda around tesh’s neck on the free*style blog && immediately went to snag him. this panda is *adorable* and for a gift is very nicely made. and did i mention the group is free to join, too? and that there’s a few other gifts there for the taking?

so i’m embracing the incoming autumn today~

*discounted* autumn at that — almost everything i’m wearing clothing-wise is on sale or heavily discounted!

this two-tone sweater is from milk motion && is set out @ the mainstore for a tdr-esque discount. the cropped hem && realistic texturing made this a no-brainer, i grabbed it immediately. and i love it, especially for how well it works with a more layered look like i’m wearing here with a (freebie!) tank underneath from jane.

the mesh jeans i’m wearing here are from crash republic and i originally saw them on oh ohna‘s blog. they are fabulous — they fit my shape *perfectly* and come with both scrunched and rolled-up cuffs. they are currently discounted to a mere *95L* until tomorrow (october 1st) and are so worth picking up. there’s a nice selection of neutral and decidedly not neutral colors and i adore the shape of these~ the price + the fit on these make them an insta-fave in my inventory right now.

i’ve been doing a lot of editing of things in my sl lately… my inventory has been the main thing i’ve worked on (and *still* am working on! it is a never-ending process, i’m tellin’ you!), but i’ve been giving my personal shape a li’l bit of a tweak here and there recently as well.

my shape, over the years, has evolved a lot.. but i rarely tweak it for things most people tend to. i rarely, if ever, make changes to my shape for skins — if it doesn’t look good on my shape as-is, then i just don’t buy it. i like being “recognizable” (har har) in different skins, even if the appearance of my face can vary with one skin or another.. then at least the basic structure underneath is the same as always. i change things about my shape when i feel i need or want to && while this happens rarely, there are some significant changes to my current shape when compared to.. say.. the shape i wore when i first started blogging.

but the biggest change i’ve made as of late is to… my legs. they’re a little longer now, a little less muscled, and i personally think *ahem* that they look fantastic.

so i’m showin’ ‘em off. ;p

in doing so, i put on something super short && paired it with some *new* sexy heels… because nothing looks better with a nice set of gams than a high heel, amirite?

i *love* the rain. the best weather for getting a good night’s sleep is when it is cool && rainy… and i really love listening to raindrops fall on the roof. but having to go out in it is a whole other story…

luckily, tea time released this set of mesh trench coats which were *perfect* for creating a rainy day kind of look in-world. i love the combo of this warm brown color with accents of deep red. the subtle pattern on the cut-outs on the side add a bit of interest && all the li’l details (the metal buckles, buttons, and belt at the waist) make this a really well-made piece.

wearing a hat, with this red mint mesh hair && a gorgeously patterned umbrella from the sea hole completes my rainy day attire… and with those, i added in accents of a dark teal. these colors together — deep brown, crimson, teal and khaki — all look *so* nice together (at least, imho! ;P) and really look like autumn to me. more subdued colors, in richer tones, work so well for fall.. and, as a whole, i really like the way this look turned out!

..pardon me while i dress to fit the theme. *ahem*

sometimes, i just can’t help but attempt to be ‘artsy fartsy’. i indulge these whims even if they seem counter productive — as awesome as this torn lace overlay (from dg) is, it *is* appropriately named (obscure, if you’re curious!). because while it looks fucking amazing for photographs, it really does take away from what i’m trying to show off here: a new set of piercings from haus of darcy.

i’m wearing the new end of the night piercing set here (colors of metal from left to right is razor, slide && silver lining) and it includes not only the face and chest piercings, but also several body tattoos for varying layers of infection around the piercings. aydan darcy‘s piercings are *always* delicious — i’ve said this many times here on my blog, so i’ll save the broken record! — and this set is a lovely addition to the entire hod collection. it is set out for a ridiculous price while horror haute is going on.. just *50L*, in fact… so grab it for the discount while you can! it is beyond worth it.

so! bff vivi && i raced to g field the other day when we saw these new beth ankle booties released. and we both, once we stopped drooling all over the demos, snagged ‘em in gray and black. we could not resist playin’ dress up with them and thus… these looks were born.

these boots are *so* great for fall — which the weather for me in my rl is lookin’ more and more like autumn — and they’re designed to perfection. the laces, metal && soles are all color-change no matter which color of boot you pick up.. and the overall shape and texturing on these is just wonderful.

the booties were also released with a set of floral-patterned tights (which are set out @ the ridiculously affordable price of just *50L* per color!) which vivienne is wearing here in the black-and-gray combo. and this look she put together here, with a longer tunic (from villena) and leggings and boots all works together in a trendy, but casual outfit. comfy, but still cute!

i decided to take the boots in a different direction — dressing them “up” a little bit with lots o’ layers. a short-sleeved lace cami (from sn@tch) underneath a cropped mesh top i grabbed from ison… and i, too, am wearin’ tights (from izzie’s) with my shorter pencil-style skirt from mon tissu.

..is really an understatement.

if you remember not so long ago, i took on the job of organizing my inventory. at the time, in january, i’d whittled my inventory number down to a mere 21k. and it was *awesome*. i could easily find things, i had everything sorted in folders && subfolders, and i didn’t have the unnecessary clutter of older, unused items hanging around. they were boxed up or deleted and it was a beautiful thing!

i kept up with it for quite some time — making sure i immediately unboxed everything i bought && then organized it down into my inventory appropriately. i kept a folder of things i wanted to blog separate and, once i had blogged it, i moved it down into the rest of my inventory. but unfortunately…. the habit didn’t last.

a few “meh, i’ll do it later” excuses and suddenly… my inventory was out of control. my number steadily increased while the organization decreased. things piled up in my objects folder, everything was in disarray, and it was *really* hard to find items unless i searched for them by name. the longer i put it off, the worse it got, until it.. again… w (Read more...)

i’ve been working on some stuff in world lately, which has caused me to go on a music spreeeeeeee. and this has been on repeat for me for quite a while now. i love this song.. and more importantly, i love scott weiland. :3 i have ever since i first heard stone temple pilots way back when.

not that the music has much to do with my look-of-the-day post, but. there ya go. xD listen to the song, okay!

as for my look, it’s pretty much a mish-mash of things i’ve been wanting to wear — mostly, this super sexy hooded dress from cynful && these stocking-and-legwarmer combo heels from luck inc that are all kinds of awesome. they are sexy me heels, indeed~

i really love this hairstyle, too. dela for hair is still relatively new-to-me, but after a few trips there (and a few recs from friends raving about this brand), i’ve given it a shot a couple of times. and i have to say, this loosely braided pigtail style is probably my favorite of the store’s offerings.. it is completely my style. it’s really cute && nicely textured.. and their pack of platinum blondes is lovely.

suppose it’s logical enough, considering how insanely sexy said boots (from grollwerk) are. :Q__

and it is not the first time this has happened for me in sl…. quite often, i find myself going oooomgah those BOOTS and immediately envisioning all the ways i’d wear them. it happened with the slink thigh high mesh boots… with the skullhand-heel boots i grabbed ages ago from pixel fashion… several of the boots i own from neurolabs… *any* of the knee-high or ankle boots i’ve picked up from gos… perhaps i have a hidden (or not so hidden) fetish for boots, but they certainly are a weakness for me.

and because of these boots, it gave me yet another excuse to indulge my inner sci-fi geek. i’ve been finding more && more lately that i *love* these sorts of cybernetic fantasy looks… and it is a style i gave a chance really by accident. perhaps i like the excuse to wear skin tight ‘n’ shiny latex, perhaps it is how easy it is to be *out there* without looking out of place, perhaps it’s how fantastically detailed the builds i’ve seen that fit this type of look, or perhaps it is an aesthetic i wasn’t even aware i enjoyed but now am fully familiar with how much i love it. no matter what the reason, i’ve been enjoying slipping into something slinky and glossy every now && again…

i have a serious problem with gatchas — i will play and play and play until i get what i want (which, more often than not, is the rares inside, ahah). but this time? i really lucked out when it comes to the things i won! yaaaay me and yaaaaaay for my luck~

the pretty peach top by ison, the *adorable* bow’d mouse ears are from auxiliary, the grocery bag packed full of macaron cookies is by bcc && the gorgeous magenta eyes are by insufferable dastard — and all are spoils of my gatcha-ing. and even luckier for me? they all worked awesomely together!

i paired it all with some *new* mesh jeans, also from auxiliary (and are out @ fameshed) and a pair of peachy-pink metallic heels from g field in the *most* perfect matching shade… and i toted my full grocery bag all around an incredibly adorable sim called itutu, which provided a very fitting background.

even though i got pretty lucky when it comes to my gatcha goodies, i *still* cannot help but wonder if i played just one more try.. if i’d get that rare i’m pining for. hmm…

while my own personal taste in nails tends to lean towards super long, sharp and claw-like… more “normal” sets of nails seem to work best for everyday wear. and since a favorite brand of mine for prim nails, virtual insanity, has come out with several new collections of nails.. i thought it fitting to give myself a manicure here and show ‘em all off. :3

the top row shows off three shorter sets of nails… which are perfect when you want a touch of color on your fingertips && glove-layer nails just aren’t cuttin’ it. these are called netty, fishy && tippy — named for their patterns (fishnet/mesh on the first two and plain nails with brightly colored tips on the last). and since each pair is color change, you really can match them to your outfit… or purposely mis-match ‘em, like i tend to do.

my very good friend, kystria aura, has been releasing lots’a new tattoos through her store, kys this… and the one i’m showing here is probably one of my favorites thus far. shake it like an etch-a-sketch… don’t mind if i do. ;P

and lucky for me, i had the perfect top to wear *just* to show off the lower-tummy tatt~

sakide has released some basic mesh tanks in a bunch of colors… and i am always looking for tank tops. i firmly believe you can *never* have too many basics, especially when it comes to tanks — they are so easy to wear && mix ‘n’ match with. when i don’t know what to put on? I search for a tank top and these from sakide are super cute!

aaaaand these tops give you options, too. check it out:

each color has two ways to wear it. the shorter, cropped style that shows off the stomach && a longer, more ruffled style (achieved with a second mesh add-on) as shown in the middle up there for some extra coverage.

…sometimes, i feel like a magpie when it comes to pretty things. i must have them all.

would you believe this entire look came about because i *needed* an excuse to wear these horns? they are from the plastik and are some of the most wonderfully ornate things i’ve seen in a long, long time. the textures are flawless — and my pictures here, sadly, do not even do them enough justice. the pair i snagged, called constellar are dotted all over with an almost glittery, stars-in-outer-space sort of pattern. and when combined with the absolutely *amazing* jeweled adornments, i fell in love. hard.

this cropped mesh vest from red mint gave me instant elvish-attire sorta vibes the second i tried it on. the clasp at the neck and the dangling jewel fringe seemed appropriate to dress in a very *fantasy* sort of way, though i can totally see this vest working for something more modern day too. perhaps paired with a tank or tee underneath and some roughed up denim?

but i took the fantasy theme && really ran with it — using an opalescent teal glam affair skin that i picked up at one of the dressing room rounds a few months back, adding a pair of claws from ni.ju that i adore, some lovely new bronze bangles from amorous, a couple of facial tattoos from nuuna’s that fit for the look i was going for and an all-over ancient text tattoo from para designs.

…allarik && me are in our underpants. i’m in my unmentionables to show off new awesome stuffs, but he’s just eye candy (you’re welcome). and i suppose, this time, the snapshot speaks louder than my words ever could, hm? ;p

right! so i’ve been needing an excuse to get in touch with my sexy side and the latest mesh releases from onyx wear && red mint helped me do just that. lingerie is the thing i probably own the least of in my virtual closet, but pretty underthings like this make me *totally* happy to change that.

i honestly thought that bras ‘n’ panties were probably the one thing i would not like (or need) in mesh — clothing layers seemed to do the job fairly well. but that was *before* i tried them and these sets from onyx wear are so sexy it hurts. little details, like lace trims and teeny bows, when combined with how well they fit and how *realistic* it looks on… they are just delicious and i’m afraid the few pieces of clothing layer lingerie i do own won’t be getting much use anymore.

there are lots of patterns to choose from (i think my personal fave out of the bunch is the candy rainbow set in the upper left pic, so cute!) and are def worth checking out. i love that the bra and panties are separate mesh pieces, which made fitting a breeze for me since i could mix-and-match sizes. plus *nothing* is sexier than a bra you can (Read more...)

mon tissu is, hands down, one of my favorite brands on the grid. i wear their pieces in world && here on my blog *constantly* (i mean, just look right here!) because i adore this brand so much. everything released always has wonderful construction, lovely textures, and an innate style to them that make it so easy to put together a definitive *look*.

mixing && matching is one of my favorite things to do — take a piece from here, another piece from somewhere else, an accessory from yet another place and so on — and items from mon tissu have become a staple of mine in my virtual wardrobe for this. there are pieces i always search for in my inventory, clothing that i seem to fall back on because i like the fit or i like the look of it, and mon tissu’s releases rank right up there in my most searched for items.

the look i put together for these pictures is simple and casual — something i think mon tissu does amazingly well. denim is, by far, one of the easiest things to wear in world && these shorts (as well as the loulou jeans and the newer mesh nora jeans) are my absolute favorites. and when paired with a cute tank, a jean jacket && a scarf (in a peach shade that mon tissu does *so* well), the look i have here is casual but cute… and works great for that *in between* weather right now where it’s n (Read more...)
