Wagasa at Seasons Story

Seasons Story has opened this month for a Spring round.  I am celebrating spring showers with traditional Japanese umbrellas, bamboo frames with decorated washi paper.  Continuing my kitsune theme from Xiasumi, in some parts of Japan, a sunshower is called kitsune no yomeiri, a fox wedding.  My foxes are prepared for the wedding, with a selection of fitting wagasa: 11 decorated with playful foxes- 7 frolicking with sakura flowers, 4 with kitsune-bi ("foxfire")- and 2 more decorated with just cherry blossoms.  The open umbrellas can be held in the left or right hand, with two left hand options.  Two closed display versions are also included, one with the string up for hanging.  Unlike western umbrellas, wagasa are stored upright, standing on the handle or hanging.

Each umbrella comes with the patterned version, and a simpler solid paper cover of just the background colour.  They are texture change with HUD, which also changes all the assorted bits of the wagasa.… Read the restsakura foxes

Pearl Mori

This month, Collabor88 is all about punk with a girly edge.  I prettied up some skulls by pairing them with pearls- or I punked up some pearls by carving skulls into them.  There are earrings and a necklace, and a set of bracelets that can be stacked and worn all together, or any can be worn separately. The skulls can match the skulls in the flowery sakura mori pieces.

Punk is not dead- and it's doing pastels too at Collabor88!

Xiasumi School Festival

Xiasumi School has opened its doors to the public for a spring school festival.  I'm in Supernatural club with ~silent sparrow~ (we're sharing a classroom) and katat0nik (in the classroom right next door) and a bunch of other awesome people.  Each club got to decorate the floor of its building- Supernatural club is the best club and you should vote for us.  I'm totally unbiased.

For the event, I made a few things.  The sakura mori neo kanzashi are spooky hair flowers with skull centers, a modern interpretation of the traditional Japanese kanzashi- HUD texture options in a variety of colours for all the bits, in hair clips and hairsticks and clustered hana kanzashi hair decorations with and without danging chains with skulls.

(hair by Clawtooth, head by VCO, kimono by GUARAN-DOU)
There are also little baby kitsune, who nap in your arms, twitching little paws and tails in their sleep.  Each comes with either one or two tails, the extra tail is where they store their extra magic.… Read the resta fox and her inugami

There was a fish in the percolator

This month is a Moonless Night at Collabor88.  I made standing Lamps from Another Place, reminiscent of those to be found in the Waiting Room- 5 texture options (read the notecard!  You have to touch the lamps in a special place to be able to use the HUD): silver, darkened silver, gold, copper, and bronze.  Anyone can touch to light, and they come with a few different types of casting light (projectors and non)- you may find the options of use depending upon where you wish to use them.

Now, I do love Coop, but I love Pete even more, so his coffee accident in the first episode just had to happen.  There's a fish in the percolator.

The percolator comes with and without the percolating guts (and the percolating guts as a separate piece), with and without opening lids, and with and without fish, because you might not be so keen on fishy coffee.  The liquid inside has 5 options- water and coffee, of course, and also a couple of red options (it was, after all, something the revolved around murder) and a watered down coffee so you can see your fish swimming in there- as well as empty with no liquid.  The ones with some form of liquid can give out a gift, coffee cups of hot black joe, to anyone who touches them.… Read the restthere was a fish in the percolator

Wee Beasties at The Arcade

It's Arcade time again, this time with rings!  They are modify, so they can also be scaled up to wear as other accessories, as well as to fit your fingers whatever size they might be.

Each ring is texture change on touch, with 6 options- silver, gold, and copper, as well as black and white plastic and wood.  The badger also has a 7th option, a black and white mix.

To be found at The Arcade this month, with so many other amazing goodies as well!

Woodland Love at Collabor88

Collabor88 this month is all about romance in a palette of deep hues.  It is also a prom, so I brought hyasynth Tiramisu of ~silentsparrow~ as my date.  We drew inspiration from a woodland fairytale romance (or, as we referred to it, "lumbersexual").

We collaborated directly on a necklace and earrings.  Hunter's Kiss features the mesh with roses and woodland animals I made, surrounding her original artwork of adorable forest critters.

She put together a set of half the Hunter's Kiss art in the cameos as artwork to put on your walls (the other half are the same animals, but in different colours).  And she made wooden Forest Love barrettes in four shapes, and a corner shelf with a deer motif.

I made a bracelet of roses to match the jewelry.  You can also find In the Forest of Leaves books cut into forest scenes, one a deer and one a unicorn (both come with wordy and silent versions), there from me.

The Last Atelier Kreslo Bake Sale

Atelier Kreslo is currently in its last round.  To celebrate, the very last bake sale is also happening, and I am in it!  hyasynth Tiramisu and I baked matching cookies for the bake sale (there are 4 colours from each of us, in pairs that go together, with matching plates), she made adorable birdies and I made colourful bats.  Each of our cookies come on a plate that will give anyone who touches it a temporary attachment cookie to munch on, and also without the plate for display, a version for you to eat without having to touch the plate, and a little cookie to hold in your mouth.

Get them while they're fresh!  The Atelier Kreslo bake sale ends February 13th, after which, these cookies will be all gone, never to be sold again.

OMG Unicorns! for Collabor88

Collabor88 is cute and pastel and single horned for January.  For it, I made two twisted horns, Starchild has fewer and looser twists, Moonchild has more tighter twists, but come with a texture change HUD with 19 horn textures, with twists in both directions.  They also come with gilded versions, swirling metal insets poured down the grooves, and drilled versions for wearing piercings.  Metal tips are included that fit all variants, if you wish tip your horn to make it perhaps a little less dangerous.

You can also find a set of captive bead ring piercings, silver rings pinching tight on mushroom beads, for nose rings, earrings, horn piercings, or where ever else you might desire to wear some metal.

And there is also the Amalthea headdress, with a swirl that rests upon your horn.  It can be worn without the horn as well, and includes versions for wearing with and without hair, with and without gemstones dropping from it, with an optional chain over the top of the head, and versions of just the swirl to balance upon your horn.… Read the restomg unicorns

Hikari Lanterns at The Seasons Story

The Winter Seasons Story has opened, for this dark season of so much night I have made softly glowing lanterns.  They are three styles of lantern, texture change with the included HUD, with 5 metal options (silver, gold, copper, bronze, and black), and 10 colours of slag glass shade.  Anyone can touch them to turn the light on and off.

To be found at The Seasons Story until January 31!  I'm in the Southeast corner, on the bottom tier, between ~silentsparrow~ and katat0nik.

Christmas Ornaments and Gingerbread Men

New ornaments for the wintery season, glass mushrooms to hang on your tree:

And some candles to clip on your tree- they do light up with little flames, but prim trees won't catch fire and burn your house down!

And this year, I finally got around to redoing the glass ornaments including the birds in mesh.  All ornaments are now 1 LI each (unless you scale them too large, and then, well, meshmath is funky like that).

Also, gingerbread men!  There are 3 styles, traditional with mesh icing buttons and cuffs, stitched FrankenGinger men, and a DIY set with and without eyes that lets you make your own icings for it (requires image editing skills- you have to be able to upload transparent textures for an icing overlay).  You can hold them in your mouth, you can hold and eat them, and you can rez a plate that distributes one to hold and eat to anyone.

All to be found in the elephant!

Creature Comfort Mugs

In Fashion, Schadenfreude, Second Life · Tags , ,

For my Collabor88's Snow Day, I decided to stay inside where it's warm and cozy and curl up with a nice drink in an oversized mug.  There are 5 different animal mugs: owl, hedgehog, fox, rabbit, and pig.  Each is texture change with 4 different ceramic options (all have pure white unpainted ceramic, and 3 painted options).  They all also come with a choice of tasty hot beverage: hot chocolate with a cinnamon stick and whipped cream, teas with a custom teabag for each, black coffee, and latte art of each animal.  They can be held in the left or right hand to drink from, and have an animation for each depending on where you hold it.

Piggies Return to The Arcade

On 15th December 2014 · By Allegory Malaprop · With Leave a comment
In Fashion, Schadenfreude, Second Life · Tags , , , ,

The Piggie Wiggies have returned to The Arcade, and this time, some pigs fly!

Seven of the piggies fly this time- Butterpig, Astro, Rocket, Wolpigtinger, Vampig, Pigaus and Pink Pigasus will fly with you when attached, or fly around where you rez them, instead of walking on the ground.  Pigmalion, Deviled, Tiger, Pigasarus, Windup, Juliana, and the Piggie Wiggie Bank can wander around on the ground or walk with you when attached, the Bank can also be used as a tip jar (when not walking!  Because having to chase a pig to pay him would be a little silly!)  The rares this time are a pig baby to carry around while it wiggles in your arms, and a little tiny pocket piggie who rides around in your pocket, which is tintable (and has a couple of base textures to choose from).  Astro and Rocket are 2 LI when rezzed, the rest of the piggies are 1 LI each.

Also at The Arcade, you can find a bunch of gifts under the tree!  My present to you is a plate of ginger pigs.  Rez them out on a table in your home, and anyone can touch the plate to get a ginger pig to munch on!  The plate of ginger pigs is exclusive to The Arcade, and will never be seen again after this round.… Read the restwhen pigs fly

Digital Alchemy Pendants

Collabor88 this month is Modern Alchemist.  Alchemy is something dear to my heart, it's this intersection of science and magic, with secret codes and symbols.  It's about physical and spiritual transformation, the search for perfection and eternal life.  In other words, it's a bunch of really neat things rolled into one.

I revisited some of the very very first things I made in SL- crouched in backyards behind people's houses who had rez on, because I didn't know what sandboxes were- necklaces with alchemical symbols.  Now they are meshed up (less building in places with rez on required!) with less seams and nicer shapes, and much nicer chains.  There are three lengths, with three variations of the two longer, so you can stack multiple necklaces in various combinations.  they also come with HUDs with ten metal options- 3 silvery, 3 golden, 2 coppery, 1 black, 1 darkened bronze- chains and pendants can be changed independently or together.… Read the restdigital alchemy necklaces

Zirnitra boots

The Zirnitra boots are my offering for Seasons Story, the autumn session of which is running this month.  My favourite thing about them is the scaled clawfoot heel, inspired by the feet of bathtubs, with your choice of solid and glass balls to perch upon.  There's a fair bit of texture change action- the singles come with a HUD with one colour of leather upper and matching heel and sole, but you can add on extra pairs to mix them; but even just one also lets you change between 3 button metals, 3 metal heels, 3 wood heels, and 8 glass balls.

(hya made adorable little birds you can also find there.  We're both in the southeast corner.  The entire sim is full of lots of goodies to discover!)

At Seasons Story until the end of the month!

Treat Bucket

My very first year of Schadenfreude, not long after I started at all, I made a treat bucket to give away.  And I've made one every year since- this is the 8th bucket!

The bucket is waiting for you in the elephant, on the dresser.  Touch the empty owl bucket to get your own!  Then touch your bucket for sweets and silly toys!

(You should go trick or treating at Havenhollow.  You can get another treat bucket there too!)

This year, there are some sneaky extra buckets as well- a few VIP groups have special versions.  My group, of course, gets a bucket.  But there is also a bucket for hyasynth's ~silentsparrow~ twittery birds, and the *katat0nik* group has a special bucket for you too.

Schadenfreude 2014-10-15 13:04:00

This round of Collabor88 is Spoopy Motel, spooking up the place in honour of my favourite holiday. I made a pair of nightstands and a pair of lamps for it.

There are normal versions, bare bones plain nightstands and simple turned wood lamps.  The nightstands include a HUD with 9 handle options, and 4 books- the drawers open and close on touch, one version also has a book inside the drawer, and you can choose any of the 4 books to be in the drawer.  The lamps have a HUD with 7 lampshade options, touch to turn on and off.

There are also a version of each for when you wake up on the fright side of the bed.  The nightstands have the same 4 books and optional book in drawer, but the handle has been replaced with a humerus, and the front feet are, well, feet.  The handle and feet change to 11 different options (2 colours of bone) with a HUD.  The lamp has the same 7 lampshades and also lights up on touch, but also lets you choose to make the bones match the base, or between two colours of bone.… Read the restbones motel

RMK Gothic

On 10th October 2014 · By Allegory Malaprop · With Leave a comment

There's an event going on at RMK Gothic right now, you do tasks and get coins to play a gacha for prizes.  You are an apprentice magician, and you have to learn how to do magic stuff!  One of the prizes is a witchy lil vouboo from me:

(You can see all the prizes at the official blog.)

Many people have been confused by how to do it, as RMK Gothic is a Japanese sim- there are some English instructions but you may not find them clear.  So I'm going to try to tell you what to do.

I don't know if that cut worked on feeds.  If not, I'm sorry for the long post, I tried!

First, you need to teleport into the library to get the HUD to be able to play.  It is a dark and stormy night, but Charlotte will give you the HUD you need.  Her crow next to her desk will give you a cute little outfit you can wear while learning!  Cutout people means this is a thing to do for the event, they are in the vicinity for all the tasks.

Then take one of the teleport circles behind her.  They dropped me in the middle of the sky to plummet, but any landing you can walk away from and all.… Read the restzitga vouboo

Miami Electric

In the 80s, I was into neon.  In a bit of a huge way- while most of my clothes were black (gee, how times have changed...), I had this weird horrible affection for don't-look-directly-at-it-or-you'll-go-blind neon pieces to go with that.  (Yeah...times really haven't changed THAT much.  I still have a few of those things...but not as many, and I don't wear them as much.)  This month's Collabor88 theme was all about that blinding neon in the 80s, though with more of a Miami angle (I never cared for Miami Vice, I preferred my cop shows to have talking cars and no actual cops).  I used it as an excuse to FINALLY finish something that's been pretty much done for years, but I didn't want to do the very last boring steps of to release: seamless fishnets. These come in leggings and gloves format, with Slink Physique appliers included for those of you mesh body addicts (and Slink hand appliers for the gloves, of course)- leggings means no fighting with your feet and having to stumble around in inventory finding the stocking HUD, though you're still stuck with fumbling for the HUD to show your gloves.… Read the restcollab

The Forest Masquerade at The Arcade

The Arcade is running this month, and I made 9 masks to win for it.  Masks can be worn or hung on the wall as display.  Each display mask is 1LI, and when rezzed on the ground will have a hanger, hanging ribbons, and shadow prim.  Touch for options to hide hangers and ribbons, as well as changing ribbon colours from the ones I chose to match each mask.  Worn masks are just masks- there are ribbons to tie around your head available as a gift at the venue (plus some extra makeup bits and nose alphas).

Each mask is texture change with 12 mask texture options (because 9x12 is toooo many for a gacha!)

(More pictures of options in this flickr album)
