Red Confession

“I don’t normally reveal my secrets to mortals, nor confess to one thing or another. I’m usually what people confess about, not the one whispering my own thoughts and considered discretions. This time, however, I must admit one thing: red colour wraps me in delightfully crimson moods.”

“I might slumber in my monochrome silvery skin, relaxed and restful, but the moment I wiggle into something red I feel my horns gleaming brighter, something slow and primal awakening within me. All for this delicious colour that calls to me, promising me things mortals only dream of.” Skin: Fallen Gods Inc. – Scales Silver at We Love RP

The Gifts of Time

The Fortune Teller brought Gifts of Time to the Fallen Gods Inc. Decennial, the gentle hiss of the sand in an hourglass, the rhythm of the ticks of a clock. He weaved time into stars, into eons of constellations, into gold glowing in the dark space he wove it. Some of the Deities of Time fell from the depths of space into the bay of Selidor, shedding the dark cosmos for warmer blues of the ocean, stepping out to greet their distant kin. And some…well, some of them embraced the infinite abyss and its stars, turning to darker hues, yet yearning to explore, reaching for contact, for experiences. In the night they fell like shooting stars, wading out of the bay like shadows, their magics evolved to reminisce the red moons instead of warm sun. Fallen Gods Inc. Decennial has started! There’s Decennial Market on top of the temple, ~Timeless~ grid-wide hunt going on, and also the Fortune Teller with complete avatar prizes! The Decennial Market has a shopping guide on Seraphim and is located on the roof of Fallen Gods Inc.Read the rest

The Daughter of the Depths and the Fallen Hedgehogs

There were many things that the sea-dwellers did for entertainment, many things that amused the daughters of the depths. There were races along the moon bridge, dancing with dolphins, weaving corals into new shapes, teaching whale whelps to sing. Many things that made them laugh, but surely this one had to be among the best. “Faster paws, brave land critters, faster paws.” She tried not to laugh, watching the paws more used to dry ground splash furiously in the gently enchanted buoying water. “No nipping at your friend, Scourge of the Seas. Swimming first, terrorizing later. Every sharkling knows this.” She had met ground creatures before, but usually they were lost and panicked in the sea, needing help to get back home. Not these two. They had played in the water fearlessly and introduced themselves as Fallen Hedgehogs. There had been some explanation about a contest that she did not fully understand, but she did not care.Read the rest

Never Truly Gone

We are never truly gone. They think we are but stories, old legends, ancient myths. They call us explanations for the unknown, symbols for the various parts of human life, concepts made easier to grasp. We are. There is no telling if we existed first and helped shape these concepts, imprinted them on the human mind, or if the humans called us to being with their devotion and fervent belief. No telling, nor does it matter. We rose from the sand: shaped of gold, carrying the living sun in our hearts. We rose, we ruled, we faded into stories. That is the biggest story of them all, the one where we faded. They keep telling it, not realizing that with each telling the sun grows brighter, the hawks fly higher, the minions of Bastet step into your homes and demand your worship. In each purring sound you hear the desert wind, each dawn reveals the rise of the radiant disk held high, in each story you hear more of the truth. We are always here, every sunrise, every nightfall, every soft step in the alleyways, every shriek in the skies. Read the rest

Growth of a Forest Fae

They begin their lives as petite fae, dancing with the lights on the bottom of the forest, on its waters and moss-covered hills. Their wings, their magic, can barely hold them afloat, but as they explore, as they dance, their enchantments grow stronger. They practice by flying higher, landing on branches as large as roads, walking on them with tiny steps until trying to reach the higher foliage again. On their way higher they begin to grow. The forest is ancient and it takes them years to fly up, years as they grow in size and magic. The foliage begins to thin, small beams of light tease them, lure them higher. Then one day they break through the leaves into the light and touch the dawn. It is a blinding moment after the safety of the dark embrace of forest shadows. Blinding moment of growth when all the roads are not only open, but non-existent. Sky is open, sky has no limits. The last weekend of Fantasy Faire 2017 is upon us. The official event program ends on Sunday, but we will have a six-hour closing party on Monday to wrap things up thoroughly.… Read the rest

Living at The Rose

The statues at The Rose are alive. You wouldn’t know it at first glance as they stand on their pedestals, pose in their carefully selected spots, frozen in moments of activity. You wouldn’t — couldn’t — guess, but it is true. Their sculptor imbued them with life and spirit full of humor and mischief. The moment you glance away, they end up giving merry buntoinettes unicorn rides and playing Fantasy Football with pigeons. When you glance back, they’re gone, only the sudden breeze revealing that something incredibly fast zoomed by. The breeze and a faint eeeeeee-sound in the wind. When playing with their flesh-and-blood friends, they often pretend to freeze back to statues again. That way you might see statues where there wasn’t any yesterday, nor will there be tomorrow. When asked, the blame is always on the Magician tending to The Rose. The statues couldn’t move on their own, after all. Especially not in the Fairelands.Read the rest
