The Grand Hall

What happens when you combine mesh with one of the most talented designers on the grid?  You get an item that is far more grand than nearly anything else you have experienced in Second Life.  That is how I felt when I walked into Mr. Loz Hyde’s mesh creation at The Home and Garden Expo.

Meshworx’s Grand Hall  won’t be up for sale till later this summer, but the entire experience will make you truly see how invaluable mesh will be to the Second Life community.  Exquisite detailing, and high quality texture work grace every crevice of this beautiful piece of architecture.  The stunning grand hall has a footprint of 60 x 40, making it the perfect size for a fantastic venue.  It’s roughly 740 prims (subject to change as Loz adds the final touches to the creation), fully custom textures, and will even have stage curtains that open and close on command.  The entire creation is filled with little surprises including two secret rooms to search for and discover.

One of the neatest features of this creation is the chandeliers.  The lighting fixtures boast around 5000 individual crystals, yet sit at only 14 prims and 5 prims in count depending on the size.  I certainly recommend stopping by the expo and checking out the place for yourself.  It is absolutely amazing how detailed and realistic mesh looks, and if mesh was something you were uncertain about, I am near certain this creation will change your mind about it.
