Today we woke up to snow!  And never one to miss an opportunity I snapped a few snowy photos and returned home for a cup of hot chocolate and Day 8 of our Christmas Giveaway….what could be more appropriate than falling snow overlays.

They are really easy to use too!  Place the snow overlay in a layer above the image you want to winterise and transform this……

……into a wintry snow scene!

Tips: works fantastically on desaturated images or those with a hint of colour, so perfect for those grey skies outside.

Layer styles that work best – screen, overlay and colour dodge but play around, add a couple of layers of the snow overlays and reduce the opacity, experiment until you get a wonderful snow filled scene :D
